Lodging: Aboard the AmaVerde
Sailing the romantic Danube River, the newly reimagined AmaVerde is one of AmaWaterways’ beloved twin-balcony ships designed to blend comfort, creativity, and charm. Completely redesigned in 2021, she and her sister ship, AmaBella, are styled as companions in a “love story on the Danube,” filled with light, color, and modern artwork.

Each spacious stateroom feels like a serene retreat, many featuring AmaWaterways’ signature twin balconies—one French, one step-out so you can sip morning tea or evening mulled wine while watching Europe drift by. Every cabin includes:

Accessibility Notes – AmaVerde & Staterooms
Your comfort and safety matter to us. The AmaVerde was thoughtfully designed to accommodate a wide range of mobility levels; however, as with many European river ships, space and access can be limited in certain areas.
Ship Access
- The ship features an elevator connecting only the Violin and Cello Decks. The lower Piano Deck is accessible by stairs.
- The Sun Deck, where you’ll find the walking track and seating areas, is also accessible by stairs.
- Due to European port design, gangways may be steep or uneven depending on river levels and docking locations.
Stateroom Accessibility
- There are no fully wheelchair-accessible staterooms on the AmaVerde.
- Stateroom doors and bathrooms are not wide enough for standard wheelchairs or large motorized scooters.
- Foldable travel walkers or lightweight scooters (under 60 lbs) are permitted but must be stored inside your stateroom.
- Guests must be able to manage a few steps when boarding or disembarking at some ports, as not all docks have level access.
