Plan Your Perfect Vacation LLC is a full service Travel Agency serving clients nationwide. We are looking for talented, independent travel advisor professionals to join our team in remote independent contractor roles.
As an independent travel advisor, you will be responsible for coordinating travel and advocating for clients. You will be working with a host of vendors and suppliers, and in this role, you will be responsible for finding clients, researching and booking travel for clients, including but not limited to hotels, excursions, airfare, rental cars and cruises. You will have minimal direct supervision, but support to help you succeed.
There are many travel perks and benefits, including but not limited to, discounted travel rates for hotels and cruises, free theme park tickets, and FAM trips. These perks become available after proven training, education, expertise, and sales have been accomplished.
Responsibilities Include:
- Selling and retaining travel clients for cruises, tour packages, hotels, airfare, etc.
- Establishing rapport and building client relationships.
- Qualifying clients to understand travel goals and needs.
- Researching destinations, hotels, cruises, airfare options, site seeing, and additional trip information to best meet the client’s needs and expectations.
- Designing custom travel itineraries for clients that are specific to the client's interests and travel style.
- Delivering a 5 Star Client Experience from Consultation Call through the end of Client Travel - including pre-departure planning, itinerary review calls, welcome home calls, etc.
- Attends webinars and studies destination demographics, amenities, values, specials, new hotels, etc.
- Is knowledgeable of CDC Travel restrictions, world events and weather that might affect travel plans. Ensures clients are fully aware of all necessary travel documents and health requirements for countries to be visited.
- Processes final documents which may include itineraries, visas, inoculations, air and transportation tickets, and final payments. Follows up with clients returning from trip and contacts past clients to notify of specials and offer assistance with future travel plans.
- Maintains ownership of each travel reservation until departure/during travel /welcome home to ensure all details (including seat assignments, meal preferences, upgrades, etc.) are completed to the client's satisfaction.
- Promotes travel services via preferred methods (ie. LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc) as an Independent Contractor of Plan Your Perfect Vacation LLC aligned with brand standards and professionalism
- Ensures all accounting documents, client files and profiles are completed accurately, timely and securely
- Is available during client travel and troubleshoots unexpected travel issues and addresses client concerns
- Researches and provides solutions to any travel related problem clients may have experienced
- Maintains relationships with industry partners for brands, suppliers, TO's, representation companies
- This is not an exhaustive list and new responsibilities may develop over time
Qualifications
- Self-starter, goal driven and business minded

- Positive attitude and willing to work hard
- Enjoy interacting with clients over the phone, email, or in person (if local)
- Ability to work independently
- Problem solving and initiative
- Willingness to learn new functions and to enhance existing skills
- Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally (verbally and in writing)
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and U.S. based
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must have a personal computer and smartphone
- This is a 1099 Position - NOT W2
Additional Information:
- This is an Independent Contractor position; therefore, PYPV cannot mandate specific hours or times that you work, but it would be critical to be available to your client base and also to be able to call travel suppliers (cruise lines, resorts, hotels, etc) during the hours they are open to assist with your client bookings.
- There is no base salary and this role is 100% commission. All commission on client bookings are paid after the client travels and the percentage paid is based on the commission that is paid by the travel supplier (ie. Cruise line, resort, etc). Commission split is based on travel agent experience.
- Growth potential is completely up to you and the client base that you grow.
- A monthly travel agent fee for CRM account access, supplier and brand logins, email setup, website feature, etc is paid on the 1st of every month regardless of commissions earned.
- There is required training to get started before you can begin booking clients, which is completed at your own pace, and then any training after that point would be based on your desire to learn and grow your business.
