Travel Identifications and Documentation
Correct legal names that match identification to be used for travel must be provided by the client to Serenova Cruise Vacations & Travel. Name changes are not permitted on airline tickets. Clients are responsible for providing accurate information on Client Traveler Profile form. Serenova Cruise Vacations & Travel is not responsible for costs incurred by incorrect information provided for travel planning including reservations and airline tickets.
Please check your documents when you receive them. You agree to review your itinerary and other travel documents for accuracy and to inform us promptly of any issues. The names on your documents MUST match your government-issued ID. Passport copies are required to confirm international air reservations. Call us if you have any questions.
Travel documents, including passports, visas, and health/vaccination certificates required are your responsibility. Valid passports are absolutely required for all international destinations and the expiration date should be at least 6 months following the return date of your trip. Some countries require that your passport have two to four blank visa/stamp pages. Some airlines will not allow you to board if this requirement is not met. See State.gov link for passport support. When travelling domestically or internationally, the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) advise that everyone carry at least two forms of acceptable identification to board a flight. (See this link.)
Air travelers with identification (ID) that does not meet the REAL ID ACT requirements will have to use alternate ID forms (passport, military ID, or permanent resident card) to pass TSA security checkpoints—even for domestic travel. Please visit www.travel.state.gov or https://www.dhs.gov/real-id for the most updated requirements for travel documentation. Visas are required when they apply. IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR DOMESTIC AIR TRAVELERS: The Federal Real ID Act mandates stricter security standards for state-issued driver’s licenses and other forms of identification and prohibits Federal agencies from accepting for official purposes identification that does not meet these standards. Beginning on May 7, 2025, every air traveler will need to present Real ID-compliant identification to be permitted to board a domestic flight; therefore, those holding a non-compliant driver’s license will need to present an acceptable alternate form of identification, such as a valid U.S. passport. To avoid disruption to their travel plans, air travelers are strongly encouraged to consult with the Department of Homeland Security (www.dhs.gov/real-id ) to determine whether their state-issued identification is Real ID-compliant and, if not, what alternate forms of identification will be accepted at the airport. Examples: DHS designated enhanced driver’s license, USA Passport, a foreign government passport. The name, date of birth and gender that appears on the identification card must exactly match the same such data that is listed on airline ticket(s) and booking records.
Additionally, a visa and vaccinations may be required. Please note that even when a visa is issued, a traveler may be denied entry since each country’s local immigration officials make the final entry decision. Several factors including past criminal record may contribute to the decision of the local immigration official(s). Should a visa not be issued, Serenova Cruise Vacations & Travel is not responsible for lost payments made toward the contemplated trip.
If traveling to or through Canada, travelers with a Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) or other conviction record should always check whether current rules exclude admission. Serenova Cruise Vacations & Travel feels it is an invasion of privacy to make such an inquiry of you. The final decision of entry rests with the immigration or border services officer. For more information see Canada's government site and the Canadian Immigration facts.
REFUSAL OF SERVICE: Service providers can refuse service to travelers at their sole discretion, including, but not limited to, if a traveler lacks proper documentation for the country of destination, has a contagious disease, is under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or narcotics, and/or displays disruptive or unruly behavior. Serenova Cruise Vacations & Travel is not liable for the acts of the service provider in refusing service.
U.S. Government requirements are constantly changing regarding passport requirements for travel outside the U.S. and U.S. domestic travel. We strongly recommend confirming your travel documentation needs with the proper government agencies: https://www.travel.state.gov. For more information about passport and visa requirements you may also visit https://cibtvisas.com/document-services. Foreign nationals should contact their government for further details and requirements. Guests traveling without proper documentation may be denied boarding and will not be entitled to a refund.

Online Check-In Prior to your Cruise
Cruise lines require that you pre-register and check-in for your cruise through their website or mobile application no later than three days prior to sailing. If you have not completed online check-in, you will be required to complete the information at the pier at least two hours prior to the published sailing time. All guests must be checked in and onboard the ship no later than 90 minutes prior to the published sailing time or will be refused the ability to sail and may not be entitled to a refund.
Check-in Prior to your Flight
You should reconfirm your flight information with the carrier before departure. Travelers are required to check-in at least 2 hours before departure time for domestic flights and 3 hours for international flights and report to the gate at least 30 minutes before departure time. Due to heightened security measures, it is advised you allow an extra 30-45 minutes for security screening. Failure to comply may result in the loss of the seat to another passenger or denied boarding. Please be advised that passport copies are required at the time of booking to confirm international air reservations.
Airline flights may be overbooked. A person denied boarding on a flight may be entitled to a compensatory payment. The rules for denied boarding compensation are available at all ticket counters.
Pricing
Travel arrangements are subject to Suppliers’ supplemental price increases that may be imposed by the supplier and/or government, even after you have completed your purchase. Suppliers have their own contracts covering cancellation penalties and other terms and conditions, and you may be bound by those contracts regardless of whether you receive notice of their terms. Flight confirmation is subject to availability and prices are subject to change after the date of deposit, including price increases in the fee for a seat assignment, fee for baggage, applicable fuel surcharges, or an increase in a government-imposed fee or tax. Cruise package prices are subject to change without notice due to currency fluctuations, tariff changes or increase in operational costs. In addition, group tours/packages are based on a minimum number of passengers traveling; if the number of passengers falls below the minimum required, a surcharge may be imposed on all passengers. Our quotes and confirmations include all mandatory fees (such as hotel resort fees) that are communicated to us by our reservations systems. However, some suppliers (such as airlines, car rental companies, hotels, and cruise lines) may have other mandatory fees that we have not been made aware of. We are not responsible for such undisclosed fees. You consent to pay for such charges and hereby authorize Serenova Cruise Vacations & Travel to charge your credit card for such additional amounts.
Overnight shipping fees for documents shipped to client from Serenova Cruise Vacations & Travel may be billed to client.
Reservation Violations
You agree not to purchase a ticket or tickets containing flight segments that you will not be using, such as a "point-beyond", "hidden-city", or "back-to-back tickets". You further agree not to purchase a round-trip ticket that you plan to use only for one-way travel. You acknowledge that the airlines generally prohibit all such tickets, and therefore we do not guarantee that the airline will honor your ticket or tickets. If you do not use one of the flights in your reservation, the airline will cancel your remaining itinerary, and it may confiscate your frequent flyer points. You agree to indemnify us against airline claims for the difference between the full fare of your actual itinerary and the value of the ticket or tickets that you purchased.
Merchant Credit Card Transactions
If we or our affiliates are the merchant on your credit card transaction, bear in mind that our services consist of counseling and facilitating the sale and paying the Supplier. If for any reason your credit card charges are declined, reversed, or Serenova Cruise Vacations & Travel is unable to receive payment for the travel plans and services, you acknowledge that this is a binding contract between yourself and Serenova Cruise Vacations & Travel shall be entitled to recovery, including reasonable attorneys’ fees in connection with collection. If a Supplier does not provide the service or ceases operations, your recourse is against the Supplier, not us. You agree not to initiate a chargeback against us or a refund request that is not authorized by this Agreement and to pay any and all legal fees incurred by us in disputing any such claim for refund.
Supplier Bankruptcies
If an airline or other Supplier declares bankruptcy, it is not obligated to honor your reservation made before bankruptcy or to refund tickets issued before the bankruptcy. Travel agents are not allowed to refund tickets on airlines which have declared bankruptcy. Money given to a travel agent immediately becomes the property of the airlines, and we are required by laws to comply with airlines' orders. If an airline declares bankruptcy, it might continue service, limit service, or stop completely. Other airlines might accept passengers under limited circumstances or may refuse to accept any passengers from the defaulted carrier. There are travel insurance plans available for passengers to protect themselves in case of airline bankruptcies.
