vlvt.travel – Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: 1st July 2025
Welcome to vlvt.travel! By booking with us, you agree to these terms. They're designed to protect both you and us, and are based on the consumer laws of the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand.
1. Booking and Payment
Your booking is confirmed once we receive full payment. We accept credit card payment only. Prices may change before payment is received. You'll receive a confirmation email once your booking is finalized.
2. Cancellations and Changes
Your Changes or Cancellations:
If you need to cancel or change your booking, contact us right away. Cancellation fees or penalties may apply depending on the airline, hotel, or tour provider’s terms.
Our Changes or Cancellations:
If we or our travel partners must change or cancel part of your trip, we will offer you an alternative or a refund/credit, as required by law.
3. Travel Documents and Requirements
You are responsible for your passport, visas, travel insurance, and meeting entry requirements (like vaccinations or COVID-19 rules). We’ll help guide you, but the final responsibility is yours.
4. Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend travel insurance to cover medical issues, cancellations, lost baggage, or other unexpected events. In Australia and New Zealand, this is not mandatory but is considered best practice.
5. Responsibility and Liability
vlvt.travel acts as an agent between you and travel providers. We are not liable for problems caused by airlines, hotels, or tour operators. However, we will assist you in resolving issues in line with your consumer rights.
6. Consumer Protection – Your Rights
United States:
As a US consumer, your rights are protected under the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Act. If we fail to deliver services as promised, you may be eligible for a refund or dispute via your credit card provider. Air travel is governed by the US Department of Transportation (DOT) rules.
United Kingdom:
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018, you’re entitled to services that are as described, performed with reasonable care, and delivered in line with the agreed itinerary. If part of your package is cancelled or disrupted, you're entitled to a refund or replacement.
Australia:
You have rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Services must be provided with due care and skill, be fit for purpose, and match their description. If there’s a major failure, you are entitled to a refund or other remedy. We comply fully with the Competition and Consumer Act 2010.
New Zealand:
Your rights are protected under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986. Services must be delivered with reasonable care and skill, and must be as described. You're entitled to remedies if things go wrong.
We comply with all relevant consumer laws in these countries and will work to resolve any issue fairly and quickly.
7. Health, Safety, and Behavior
You are responsible for your personal safety and health during travel. Please follow local laws and behave respectfully. We may cancel your booking if your actions endanger others or violate local rules.
8. Complaints and Disputes
If you experience any issues during your trip, contact us right away so we can help. For formal complaints, please email us at [insert email] within 7 days of your trip ending. We will work to resolve your complaint in line with the consumer laws of your country.
9. Privacy and Data
We handle your personal data in line with privacy laws, including the GDPR (UK), CCPA (California), and APPs (Australia). We never share your information without your consent.
10. Updates to These Terms
We may change these terms occasionally. The version that applies is the one in effect when you book.
