Dream Beyond Adventures — Travel Terms & Conditions

These guidelines help you prep for travel and understand how suppliers handle tickets, changes, and policies. They complement (not replace) each supplier’s own Terms & Conditions.

Required Documents for Travel

Proof of identity (U.S. domestic flights).
As of May 7, 2025, adults 18+ must present a REAL ID–compliant license/ID or an acceptable alternative (e.g., U.S. passport) to clear TSA security for domestic flights. Check your state’s REAL ID status and alternatives on TSA. TSA+2TSA+2

Passports (international travel).
You will not be permitted to depart or enter without proper documentation. Many countries require at least 6 months’ validity on your passport beyond your stay; always check destination-specific entry rules via the U.S. Department of State and airline guidance. (Note: some destinations follow a “6-month rule,” some don’t.) Travel.state.gov+1

Visas, vaccinations, and minors’ documents.
Requirements vary by country and can change without notice—verify before travel. U.S. CDC hosts current health guidance (vaccines/health notices). If you are not a U.S. citizen, consult your destination’s consulate and your own country’s re-entry rules. CDC Travelers' Health

Airline Information & Best Practices

Contracts of Carriage.
By purchasing a ticket, you agree to each airline’s Contract of Carriage (their legal T&Cs on schedules, seating, changes, baggage, etc.). Review your carrier’s contract on its site. United Airlines+2Delta+2

Schedules, seating, and check-in.
Airlines may adjust flight times, aircraft, and seat assignments at their discretion. Check in online 24 hours beforedeparture when available, reconfirm your gate/terminal day-of, and arrive early (airline/TSA guidance commonly points to ~2 hours for U.S. domestic, ~3 hours for international, but follow your airline/airport’s posted guidance). AA+2Delta+2

Baggage.
Baggage allowances, fees, and rules vary by airline and route; pay carriers directly for any fees. (Keep receipts for claim purposes.)

Secure Flight data.
TSA requires airlines to collect your full name (as on ID), date of birth, and gender when ticketing. Missing or mismatched data can prevent ticketing/boarding. United Airlines

If flying from/within Canada (or on a Canadian carrier).
You may have specific rights for delays, cancellations, denied boarding, and baggage under Canada’s Air Passenger Protection Regulations (APPR); see the Canadian Transportation Agency. Air Passenger Protection Agency+2Canadian Transportation Agency+2

Health & Safety

For up-to-date health advisories, vaccine guidance, and destination-specific recommendations, consult the CDC Travelers’ Health hub (and your physician). Some vaccines have lead-time requirements. CDC Travelers' Health+1

Documents (E-docs) & Late Bookings

Most suppliers issue electronic confirmations/documents after final payment/online check-in. For bookings within ~7 days of departure, an email address is required for e-docs; late requests can limit options and may incur rush/expedite rules per supplier.

Special Requests

Bedding, cribs, adjoining rooms, accessibility features, and seat assignments are requests only and are not guaranteed. Some hotels/cruise lines charge locally for rollaways, fridges, or cots.

Revisions, Cancellations, Refunds & Pricing

  • Supplier rules control. Change/cancel penalties, refundability, and promo rules are set by each airline, cruise line, tour operator, hotel, car rental, or ticket vendor.
  • Air tickets. Many fares are nonrefundable; permissible changes typically incur airline change fees plus any fare difference. Some unused tickets retain future credit with same traveler/airline within a validity window.
  • Cruises/tours/hotels. Penalties escalate as you near departure; after final payment, refunds are often limited or unavailable.
  • Pricing. Unless fully paid, pricing and availability can change due to inventory, taxes/fees, currency, or surcharges set by the supplier.
  • No-shows are nonrefundable.

Important: Refunds are not issued for personal dissatisfaction with a vacation, accommodations, itinerary, or supplier service. Refunds or credit card chargebacks are strictly prohibited except for proven unauthorized card use; disputes over service must be addressed with the supplier under its contract. (See Credit Card Terms below.)

Rental Cars

Drivers must meet the rental company’s age, license, and credit card requirements (under-25 surcharges may apply). Fuel, tolls, insurance, additional drivers, drop fees, and some taxes/fees are typically paid locally at the counter.

Dream Beyond Adventures — Credit Card Authorization Terms

By providing payment information, you authorize Dream Beyond Adventures (DBA) to process charges via TERN Travel CRM for agreed planning fees and to transmit your card to suppliers (airlines, cruise lines, hotels, tour operators, insurance providers, etc.) to secure your travel.

3) Chargebacks & Disputes

You waive chargebacks for services you authorized and received; only proven unauthorized usequalifies for chargeback. DBA may pursue recovery of reversed funds, including collection costs/attorney fees.

4) Cardholder Warranties
You confirm you’re the authorized cardholder; info provided is accurate; sufficient funds/credit are available.

5) Liability Limits
DBA acts as agent for independent suppliers and is not responsible for supplier acts/omissions or events beyond DBA’s control. DBA’s liability is limited to fees paid directly to DBA.

6) Duration
This authorization remains valid for bookings associated with your trip unless revoked in writing before processing.
