Dreams and Destinations Terms and Conditions

Updated on: Aug 25, 2025

PASSPORTS

All travelers—including children and infants—must have a valid Passport Book to fly internationally. Passport Cards are not valid for international air travel. Passports must be valid for at least six (6) months beyond your return date.

The U.S. government may deny passports for reasons such as unpaid child support or criminal history. It is the traveler’s responsibility to determine passport eligibility. Dreams and Destinations is not responsible for issues arising from passport ineligibility or invalid documentation, including denial of boarding or associated penalties.

VISAS

Travelers are responsible for obtaining any required visas through the appropriate consular offices. Dreams and Destinations is not liable for denied boarding or cancellations due to missing or incorrect visas.

PERMANENT RESIDENTS / GREEN CARD HOLDERS

U.S. Permanent Residents may require a visa depending on their passport country of origin. Please consult an immigration attorney and/or the relevant consulate. Dreams and Destinations is not responsible for denied boarding or cancellations due to visa issues.

CRIMINAL HISTORY

Some countries deny entry to travelers with certain criminal offenses (e.g., DUI convictions may prevent entry into Canada). It is the traveler’s responsibility to confirm eligibility with legal counsel or the destination’s consular office. Dreams and Destinations does not screen for criminal history and is not liable for denied entry.

CHANGES TO RESERVATIONS

All reservation changes are subject to current rates, promotions, and terms at the time of modification. Changes must be requested in writing.

FINAL PAYMENT

Final payment is due by the date listed on your invoice. Payments are not automatically charged unless previously arranged. Late payments may result in cancellation and are subject to a $150 per-person late fee. Dreams and Destinations is not responsible for cancellations due to late payment.

CANCELLATION PENALTIES

  • Hotel/Room Packages: A $150 per-person cancellation penalty applies once your reservation is made, even if only one person in a room cancels. Additional penalties as outlined on your invoice may apply.
  • Airfare: If booked through Dreams and Destinations, airline tickets are non-refundable unless otherwise indicated and are subject to airline-specific penalties and fees.

LATE FEES

Late final payments will incur a $150 per-person fee unless otherwise noted by your travel advisor in writing. Reservations may be canceled if payment is not received on time. These fees are non-refundable and not covered by travel insurance.

INSURANCE & PENALTIES

Travel insurance protects you from most penalties, with the exception of late fees. Without insurance, cancellations for any reason—including natural disasters or personal emergencies—are subject to full penalties. Insurance must be purchased before any known events (such as named storms or diagnosed medical conditions). Coverage varies by supplier and may not include all components of your trip (e.g., airfare booked separately). Please review all policy details carefully before purchase.

TRAVELING WITH CHILDREN

Children under 18 not traveling with both parents/legal guardians may need a notarized letter of consent and medical authorization. Please request a Minor Travel form from your advisor if applicable.

DOCUMENTATION

Travelers are responsible for ensuring all travel documents (passport, visa, etc.) are correct and valid. Dreams and Destinations is not liable for issues due to missing or incorrect documentation.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

Travel documents will be sent at least 7 days before departure. Review immediately for accuracy. Inclusions:

  • Airline e-ticket receipts (not boarding passes)
  • Travel itinerary and supplier confirmations

Print boarding passes at check-in (online or at the airport).

HAZARDOUS MATERIAL

Federal law prohibits hazardous materials (e.g., aerosols, fireworks, lithium batteries) in baggage. E-cigarettes must be in carry-on only.

BAGGAGE FEES

Airline baggage fees vary. Check with your airline directly for the latest fees and policies.

SEAT ASSIGNMENTS

We will attempt to pre-assign seats together if complimentary assignments are available. If unavailable:

  • Complimentary seats may be assigned separately
  • Paid seat selection is optional and may be handled directly or through your advisor
  • Airport check-in is recommended 3 hours before departure

CHANGES TO FLIGHTS

Airline tickets are non-refundable unless stated otherwise. Changes may incur penalties, fare differences, and are subject to airline rules. Basic Economy fares are completely non-refundable and non-changeable. Any applicable flight credit must be used within one year of ticket issue.

AIRLINE SCHEDULE CHANGES & CANCELLATIONS

Airlines may adjust or cancel flights. Minor changes (under 2 hours) are usually made automatically. Major changes will be communicated to you. Dreams and Destinations will assist with alternatives but is not responsible for additional costs due to schedule changes or cancellations.

RECONFIRM FLIGHTS

Reconfirm flight details with the airline 24 hours before departure. Most airlines offer online check-in using the Record Locator provided in your documents.

AIRPORT CHECK-IN

Arrive at the airport at least three (3) hours before your scheduled departure. Airlines may deny boarding if check-in occurs less than 1 hour prior, or if you arrive at the gate less than 15 minutes before departure.

HOTEL/RESORT ROOM ASSIGNMENTS

Room requests (e.g., location, view, bed type) are not guaranteed unless otherwise indicated by the hotel at time of booking. Hotels accommodate requests based on availability at check-in.

CREDIT CARDS

Visa and Master Card are widely accepted internationally.  American Express is accepted in many locations, but you may find not as widely accepted as Visa or Master Card.  Discover is not accepted outside of the United States in most cases.

RESORT CHECK-IN

Check-in begins at 3:00 PM local time. Early arrivals may have to wait for room readiness.  A credit card is typically required at check-in for incidentals.  Use of a debit card at check-in will result a temporary hold of account funds, due to this we highly recommend a credit card at check-in.

ROOM CATEGORY & VIEWS

Room views vary within a category. A room with any visible water may be categorized as "ocean view" or "water view" by the resort.  If unhappy with a room assignment, notify the resort and Dreams and Destinations immediately. We are not responsible for resort room assignments.

DRESS CODE

Some resort restaurants enforce dress codes. Please pack accordingly.

HONEYMOON & ANNIVERSARY TRAVELERS

Bring a copy of your marriage certificate to qualify for complimentary honeymoon/anniversary perks. Notify your advisor if celebrating—most resorts honor perks during your travel month, and some accept up to 30 days before or after the occasion.

FORCE MAJEURE

Dreams and Destinations Travel shall not be held liable for any failure to perform, or delay in the performance of, any of its obligations under this agreement due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Acts of God (including but not limited to hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, and other natural disasters)
  • Governmental actions or restrictions (such as border closures, entry/exit bans, visa suspensions, or travel advisories)
  • Wars, acts of terrorism, hostilities, civil unrest, strikes, labor disputes, or political instability
  • Epidemics, pandemics, outbreaks of disease, and related public health emergencies (including government-imposed quarantines, closures, and curfews)
  • Airline schedule changes, flight cancellations, cessation of operations, or technical disruptions
  • Supplier defaults, service interruptions, overbookings, or the unavailability of accommodations, transport, excursions, or other travel services
  • Infrastructure failures, power outages, or transportation disruptions

In the event that travel arrangements must be changed, interrupted, or canceled due to such force majeure events, Dreams and Destinations Travel will make reasonable efforts to assist with alternate arrangements. However, any additional expenses incurred as a result (including, but not limited to, rebooking fees, fare increases, accommodations, meals, transportation, or other incidental costs) shall be the sole responsibility of the traveler.

Dreams and Destinations Travel shall not be liable for any refund, compensation, or damages—whether direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential—arising from or relating to force majeure events. Refunds, credits, or future travel vouchers will be subject solely to the terms and conditions of the suppliers involved (airlines, resorts, tour operators, etc.), and any claims must be pursued directly with those suppliers.

Travelers are strongly encouraged to purchase comprehensive travel insurance.
