TGK’s Shades of Ireland | A Hosted Journey
Sep 26 - Oct 5, 2026
Karen and I are heading back to Ireland this September, and this time we’re doing it a little differently.
Years ago, we explored Ireland on our own — driving winding roads, chasing views, and figuring out the logistics as we went. This time, we loved the idea of experiencing Ireland through a thoughtfully curated, guided journey, where someone else handles the driving and details so we can fully enjoy the experience from start to finish.
This hosted journey follows Collette’s Shades of Ireland, a 10-day itinerary that brings together Ireland’s most iconic landscapes and cities — from Dublin and Galway to the Ring of Kerry, the Cliffs of Moher, and even an overnight stay in an actual castle.
We’re hosting this trip for travelers who want to experience Ireland without the hassle of planning or logistics, so they can simply enjoy being there, take it all in, and travel as part of a small, well-designed group.
Whether you’re just beginning to think about Ireland or are ready to explore what this journey looks like in detail, this page will walk you through what makes this experience special — and how you can be part of it.

What It’s Like to Travel on a Hosted Journey
What Does “Hosted” Mean?
Karen and I will be traveling on this journey alongside the group, helping set the tone and ensuring the experience feels welcoming and well-supported from start to finish.
Hosting allows us to be present, accessible, and attentive — so travelers can relax knowing there’s a familiar point of contact throughout the trip.
You’ll still enjoy the expertise of Collette’s professional tour director, while benefiting from the added care and continuity that comes with a hosted experience.
