Small Group Journey June 11-26, 2027, to the "Land of the Eternal Blue Sky"
Hosted by Lisa
Ever dream of visiting a place where time has stopped? Where silence is broken only by the sound of an eagle's cry? Where people live as they have for centuries? Where you can still see every star in the night sky?
Slow down, and find your peace with me in Mongolia in June 2027. Eze2Travel is excited to offer this small group journey for no more than 12 travelers in conjunction with our in-country partner, Blue Silk Travel. Blue Silk Travel is a 100% Mongolian and woman-owned business and is the only US operator focused solely on Mongolia. Sustainability is the heart of their mission.
Over 16 days we'll the follow in the footsteps of Genghis Khan, the 13th century warlord who established the largest continuous land empire in human history. We'll visit monasteries and ancient cities of the old Silk Road. Search for bones in the canyons of the Gobi Desert, one of the world's most significant dinosaur fossil reserves. Listen for the cries of snow leopards under skies with more stars than we can count. Ride two-humped Bactrian camels across the Singing Sands. Paddle through the waters of the pristine Lake Huvsgul. And listen to the otherworldly songs of the famous throat singers.
One third of Mongolians live as semi-nomadic herders, moving livestock across the open steppes. We'll join families in authentic cultural exchanges, sharing meals and learning about a way of life that has remained unchanged for a thousand years.
At night we'll lay our heads in traditional gers, portable felt tents used by nomads for centuries as they travel across the steppe. We'll have chances to ride horses and camels with local families, but our main form of transport will be private SUVs that can easily navigate unpaved roads.
Come explore the vast landscapes and rich nomadic hospitality of this rarely-visited destination with me. This trip is for those who believe travel should be a journey that shapes our vision of the world, not just a vacation.

Join me next June in a place like no other on Earth!

Where We'll Be Staying
Most nights we'll be staying at Ger Camps. Comfortable and sometimes, luxurious, the gers on our tour are the best available in each region we visit, carefully selected for their welcoming atmosphere, friendly service, clean accommodations and excellent food. A ger is a circular dwelling of felt wrapped around a wood lattice frame.
Below are examples of some of the camps we may stay in:
In the Orkhon Valley we'll sleep at the Out of Nowhere Geolodge. It provides a sustainable, natural experience, with special touches such as camel wool blankets, handprinted wooden finishes, and restaurants filled with traditional nomadic artifacts. In lieu of running water, the camp provides guests with twice-daily steamed hot towels and provides special hair-washing appointments. By using only candles and flashlights for lighting, this camp provides travelers with excellent stargazing opportunities.
The Mongol Nomadic Cultural Heritage Center is not only a place to stay, it's an immersive cultural experience. The family running the resort provides a welcoming introduction to nomadic life, and actively shares nomadic traditions with visitors, teaching games, introducing traditional cooking and foods, performing music and demonstrating a variety of other cultural practices. Located in a secluded valley just off the main road between Ulaanbaatar and Hustai National Park, the camp provides 24-hour electricity, and offers deluxe gers with private, attached bathrooms.
Dream Gobi Lodge is the Gobi Desert's premier resort, surrounded by the endless open expanse of the desert near Gobi Guvansaikhan National Park. The camp is known for its dining, with two restaurants serving Mongolian and international favorites, using vegetables grown in an onsite greenhouse. A full bar serves cocktails on an outdoor veranda, providing majestic desert views. The resort offers a satellite wi-fi service and was the first in the Gobi Desert with private bathrooms in all gers.

FAQ
How do I get to Mongolia? All international flights to Mongolia land at Chinggis Khan International Airport (UBN), located about an hour outside Ulaanbaatar, the nation's capital. Eze2Travel can assist in booking your international flights starting in mid-July 2026 when the airlines flight schedules are posted.
Can I extend my trip? Yes. Asia is far, and you may want to stay longer. We can offer extra days to visit the eagle hunters in the Altai if you would like more time in Mongolia. Flights from Ulaanbaatar connect through Frankfurt, Istanbul, Hong Kong, Beijing, Seoul, Tokyo, Singapore, and Bangkok, making it easy to add a second destination to your trip. We are happy to book extensions for you.
Is Mongolia safe? Yes. Mongolia is widely considered as one of the safest countries in the world, with very low crime rates.
Do I need any vaccinations to visit Mongolia? It is best to make sure that you are up to date on the standard childhood vaccinations before traveling to Mongolia. We highly recommend Hepatitis A and B, and Typhoid for any traveler to remote areas, but these are not required to visit Mongolia.
What if I get sick on the trip? We require travel insurance to participate in this trip and will provide you with a policy once you make your initial deposit. This trip also includes $200,000 emergency medical evacuation coverage. Travelers who require frequent medical attention or treatment should not join this tour. Ulaanbaatar hosts a numerous state-run and private medical facilities, including a Joint Commission International accredited hospital, but many areas of Mongolia are served only by basic clinics and hospitals. During your trip, you will be in remote settings, with no people within miles and no cell phone access. It can take hours to reach a doctor or for help to arrive in an emergency. Mongolia has few lighted airstrips, making nighttime medical evacuations impossible from most parts of Mongolia.
Do I need a VISA to visit Mongolia? Until January 2027, citizens of the US, EU and UK do not need a visa for trips lasting less than 30 days. If visas are required for our trip after that date, Eze2Travel will make you aware of this and assist with this process (cost of visa is not included in trip pricing).
What is the food like in Mongolia? Sharing meals with locals and trying new dishes are a highlight for our travelers. Mongolia has a vibrant culinary scene that celebrates organic meat and dairy raised by nomadic herders and organic vegetables grown on small farms across the country. We can accommodate food allergies. This tour has two meal options: meat or vegetarian. On your registration form, you must choose one for the entire tour and cannot change during the tour.
