Why this sailing (and why you'll love it)
You know that feeling when you've been meaning to do something extraordinary — and you just keep putting it off? This is the year you stop putting it off.
Eight days along the legendary Rhine, where every bend in the river reveals something worth remembering:
- Castles perched on cliffsides above the water
- Medieval city streets that have barely changed in centuries
- Wine regions that will ruin grocery store wine forever
- Amsterdam canals, Strasbourg charm, and a Swiss farewell in Basel
- Voyages with Vicki hosted: you're never navigating this alone — unless you want to be
And because this is AmaWaterways — excursions, wine and beer with meals,
and nightly happy hour are already included in your fare.

Extend Your Voyage — Pre & Post Cruise Options
Why go all the way to Europe and rush home? Both extensions are hosted by the same cruise manager you'll have onboard — so the experience is seamless from start to finish, and you'll already know your guide before the ship even sets sail.
Pre-Cruise: 2 Nights in Amsterdam From $1,060 per person | Transfer from hotel to port included
Amsterdam is one of Europe's great cities — and arriving a few days early means you actually get to experience it rather than just pass through.
- Day 1 — Arrive and settle in. Check into your hotel and let Amsterdam's canals, gabled houses, and café-lined streets work their magic.
- Day 2 — A guided walking tour through Amsterdam's storybook lanes, where every bridge and canal tells a story centuries in the making.
- Day 3 — Step back in time at Zaanse Schans, a picturesque village where authentic windmills and historic houses recreate life in 17th-century Netherlands — then transfer to the ship and begin your Rhine adventure.
⭐ This is the extension that qualifies for the FreeLand promotion — book your deposit by July 31, 2026 and this pre-cruise could be complimentary plus $500 off your fare. This is a significant value and worth booking early.
Post-Cruise: 2 Nights Lake Lucerne + 2 Nights Zurich From $2,160 per person | Transfer from port to hotel included
If the Rhine left you wanting more Europe — and it will — this post-cruise extension delivers Switzerland at its most breathtaking.
- Day 1 — Disembark in Basel with a highlights tour before continuing to Lake Lucerne for a walking tour and hotel check-in.
- Day 2 — Explore Lucerne's medieval walls and towers, strolling streets that have barely changed in 700 years.
- Day 3 — A scenic cruise on Lake Lucerne followed by a cable car ascent of Mount Rigi — the "Queen of the Mountains" — with views that will stop you cold. Then on to Zurich.
- Day 4 — Zurich's Old Town meets the elegant Bahnhofstrasse, one of Europe's most famous shopping avenues. Historic charm and modern sophistication in one city.
- Day 5 — Begin your journey home.
A note on both extensions: Transfers are included (to or from the ship only) in both options, and your cruise manager accompanies you throughout — so there's never a moment where you're figuring it out on your own.
Solo travelers: pre-cruise Amsterdam is $1,700 per person; post-cruise Lake Lucerne & Zurich is $3,240 per person.Pricing & cabins
AmaStella offers staterooms across three decks — Violin, Cello, and Piano — ranging from cozy and comfortable to beautifully spacious suites. Many staterooms feature French balconies, with select categories offering both a French balcony and an outside balcony for those who want fresh air and open views.
One thing worth noting — there are no interior cabins on AmaStella. Every stateroom has a window, even on the lower Piano Deck where windows sit higher on the wall. You'll always have natural light and a connection to the river outside.
Staterooms range from 155 to 350 square feet, with something for every travel style and budget.
Starting under $3150* per person (after all discounts are applied including First Five to book 5%)
