Getting to the Cruise

The closest airport is the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. ANC is easy to access, with direct flights from Seattle, Chicago, Minneapolis, Detroit, Atlanta, and more.

Once arriving in Anchorage, the journey has just begun. Getting to Seward is 4.5 hours by train, 3 hours by bus, or 2.5 hours by car. As with all cruises, I recommend arriving at least a day early. Once in Anchorage, you can travel to Seward on embarkation day, or stay a night in Seward.

  • What is the cancellation policy?
    • Non-refundable deposit
    • After final payment - 25% penalty
    • 74-61 days before sailing- 50% penalty
    • 60-31 days before sailing - 75% penalty
    • 30 days or less before sailing - 100% penalty
  • Do I need travel insurance?
    • Travel insurance is strongly recommended for this trip. Alaska includes remote ports and limited access to medical facilities, so having coverage provides important peace of mind.
    • We recommend a policy that includes:
      • Trip cancellation & interruption
      • Emergency medical coverage
      • Medical evacuation (especially important in remote areas)
      • Travel delay coverage
      • Optional Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) coverage for added flexibility

Please note: Travel insurance is not included in the trip price, and some policies — including CFAR — must be purchased shortly after your initial deposit.

Insurance is easy to add: We’re happy to help you secure travel insurance after booking, or you may purchase your own policy if you prefer.

  • How many people will be on board?
    • The Celebrity Silhouette has 1449 staterooms, so there will be about 3000 travelers. With over 1200 crew, a high level of service is maintained, and there's plenty of room for people to spread out so things don't feel crowded
  • Can I come solo?
    • Yes! Many of our guests travel solo and love the built-in community. Reach out for solo pricing!
  • Is this trip hosted?
    • Yes! Andrew, Laura, and Emerson will be traveling with the group throughout the sailing.
    • Key logistics are coordinated in advance, so you don’t have to manage details on your own
    • There’s a built-in sense of community and support, especially helpful in a destination like Alaska
    • Hosting doesn’t mean a rigid schedule or forced group activities — it simply means you can relax knowing there’s an experienced point person available, while still enjoying plenty of freedom to explore and enjoy the trip at your own pace.
