Come with me on a 14-day journey through Alaska -by land, rail, and cruise ship! We will fly into Fairbanks, where we will spend 2 nights and enjoy an included Riverboat Discovery/Gold Dredging Tour, along with whatever optional excursions you choose. We will then board a coach and travel to Denali National Park, with a 2-night stay at Denali Lodge. Included is the Tundra Wilderness Tour- a fully narrated, 6–8 hour sightseeing excursion into the heart of Denali National Park. This tour offers the best opportunity to view Denali’s iconic wildlife and North America’s tallest peak. You'll have plenty of leisure time to enjoy the charm and convenience of Denali Square, with shops, eateries, and cozy fire pits to gather around. Leaving Denali, we board the luxurious domed rail cars of the McKinley Explorer bound for Anchorage, where we will spend one night. After a morning at leisure in Anchorage, we may enjoy time at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center on the way to the picturesque seaside town of Seward. I plan to book the optional Kenai Fjords National Park Tour while in Seward! You may decide to take any of the exciting optional tours available during our 2-night stay in Seward. We will then head to Whittier to board the Nieuw Amsterdam, our home for 7 days! We will sail and sightsee the Hubbard Glacier and Glacier Bay National Park to begin our cruise, with Park Rangers narrating and wildlife spotting for us along the way. As we sail along, we make stops in Skagway, Juneau, and Ketchikan- with all of the adventure, scenery, and history of these charming towns to enjoy! On our last full day of sailing, we will enjoy the scenic beauty of Alaska's Inside Passage! The passage is a renowned cruising route through a protected network of waterways, featuring glacier-cut fjords, lush rainforests, and diverse wildlife. We will conclude our journey in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, in the early am, leaving time to explore this beautiful urban oasis before catching your flight home.
