Here are some of the things that travel insurance can help with:

We can offer travel insurance through CIE (starting at $325 per person) or private insurance companies like Roam Right or Travel Insured (based on the price of the trip and your age)

Travel Insurance is highly recommended and once your reservation is CONFIRMED and before you pay any deposit, we will quote travel insurance for you.

CIE Cancellation Penalties

The $250 deposit is NON REFUNDABLE

CIE's tour cancellation penalties

• between date of deposit-66 days prior to departure, you will forfeit the $250 deposit
• between 65-16 days prior to departure, you will lose 30% per person of the tour cost
• between 15 and 8 days prior to departure, you will lose 50% of the tour cost
• within 7 days of departure, the tour is non refundable and you will lose 100%

Travel Insurance is never refundable but if you are cancelling for a covered reason, you may be able to claim the cancellation penalties on your travel insurance

Air Cancellation Penalties (on flights booked thru CIE)- Penalties are based on the airline booked. Airline conditions will be advised when seats are confirmed by the airline. Air that has been ticketed is NON REFUNDABLE

If you need to cancel after deposited, there is also a $50 per person cancellation fee due to Mindy Gilbert Travel via check, cash, venmo or zelle

Cancellations must be received by Mindy Gilbert Travel (mindy@myvacationlady.com) in writing.  It will be relayed to CIE within 24 hours of receipt of the $50 per person cancellation fee.
