What's Included on this journey?
All hotel and riverboat accommodations, excursions, meals and beverages aboard the ship (including unlimited, wine, beer, spirits, coffee and soft drinks), select meals on shore, sightseeing, port charges, gratuities and the services of ship staff, local guides, your Roam Directors and your Roam Cruise Director are included.
What's not ncluded?
International roundtrip airfare, travel protection plans, laundry and spa services aboard the riverboat, and any activities and meals you choose to pursue during free time that are not outlined in the itinerary are not included in the price of the trip.
Where does the trip start and end?
The journey begins in Porto, with included transfers to the riverboat from Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport (OPO), provided we receive your arrival details at least three weeks in advance. The journey ends in Porto, with included transfers to Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport (OPO). Transfer may be shared with fellow Roam by Tauck guests.
How active is this journey?
The activity level of this tour is a 4 and designed for fit, vigorous travelers capable of easily walking 3+ miles over hills and/or rocky or uneven terrain. Many days might include active pursuits such as hiking, bicycling or kayaking for one to three hours at a time.
What travel documents are needed?
US citizens need a passport valid for six months beyond the end of your trip: no visa is required for entry into Portugal. Non-US citizens should check with an embassy or consulate of Portugal to determine what travel documentation are required for entry. All guests are required to provide their passport information to Tauck at time of booking. Please Note: Longer stays abroad for any purpose may require additional travel documentation.
