We created this cruise for families like ours who love to travel and also appreciate being around other families who simply understand their dynamic. No explanations needed, no overthinking introductions, just an easy and genuinely fun week together.

This is not a party cruise and it is not adults-only. It is a fantastic Royal Caribbean vacation that happens to include a group of like-minded families sailing together. The kids get to make friends naturally, the adults get to relax a little more deeply, and everyone gets the kind of vacation that actually feels like a break.

That’s the idea. A great cruise, made even better by the people on it.

Welcome to our first annual LGBT+ Family Cruise.

About Royal Caribbean and Why It Works for Our Group

We chose Royal Caribbean intentionally because they truly understand how families travel. When you are bringing together different ages, different personalities, and different energy levels, you need a cruise line that is built for real life.

Their ships are spacious and thoughtfully designed, with structured kids programming like Adventure Ocean that gives parents breathing room when they want it. There are plenty of casual dining options for picky eaters, alongside elevated restaurants that make date night easy. The entertainment feels like a true night out, but without the logistical stress that usually comes with it.

It all flows. And when you are traveling with kids, that sense of ease makes a real difference.

The Itinerary

6 Nights | Roundtrip from Fort Lauderdale
Sailing July 4, 2027

Day 1: Depart Fort Lauderdale
Day 2: Perfect Day at CocoCay, Royal Caribbean’s private island in the Bahamas
Day 3: Sea Day
Day 4: Falmouth, Jamaica
Day 5: Labadee, Haiti, Royal Caribbean’s private destination
Day 6: Sea Day
Day 7: Return to Fort Lauderdale

This sailing includes two of Royal Caribbean’s exclusive destinations, Perfect Day at CocoCay and Labadee, both reserved for Royal Caribbean guests.

What that really means for families is simplicity. Beach days feel organized and contained. You are not navigating unfamiliar city centers or long transportation logistics. You step off the ship and into an environment designed specifically for cruise guests, with clear options for relaxing, exploring, or doing something a little more adventurous.

There are shaded beach areas for slower mornings, water activities for high-energy kids, and plenty of space to gather casually if families want to connect onshore.

With two sea days built into the itinerary, we also have natural breathing room. Time to settle in. Time to organically meet one another. Time for group moments without feeling like we are competing with port schedules.

We're planning welcome meetups, family game nights, kid/parent mixers, and more—details coming soon!

Starting prices as of 03/01/2026

The Ship: Allure of the Seas

Allure of the Seas holds a special place for us. It was the very first Royal Caribbean ship our family ever sailed on together. It is where Claire experienced her first big ship, and where we realized just how well cruising worked for our family rhythm. It gave us structure, flexibility, and space to actually enjoy each other instead of feeling stressed.

Bringing this group together on Allure feels like a full circle moment.

Since our first sailing, the ship has gone through Royal Caribbean’s amplification program, meaning significant upgrades throughout. The pool decks have been refreshed, the water play areas expanded with features like Splashaway Bay, and new thrills like the Ultimate Abyss slide have been added. Kids and teen spaces have been updated, dining and bar concepts have evolved, entertainment venues have been enhanced, and new panoramic suite options now offer incredible ocean views.

It is the ship we loved, thoughtfully modernized and even more dynamic. There is a natural energy onboard, with something happening at every turn, yet it still manages to feel organized and comfortable for families.

Why This Is Different

At its core, you are booking an exceptional Royal Caribbean vacation with a beautiful ship, a strong Caribbean itinerary, and some of the best kids programming in the industry. That experience stands entirely on its own and would make for a fantastic family trip regardless.

What makes this sailing unique is the added layer of community. You will be traveling alongside a group of families who share a similar dynamic and a similar love of travel, which naturally changes the energy onboard in a subtle but meaningful way.

We will host a welcome gathering early in the week so everyone can meet, and we will create a few intentional but relaxed opportunities throughout the sailing for kids to connect and for parents to get to know one another. The goal is not to over-program the week, but to make connection easy and organic.

You still get the flexibility and freedom of a mainstream cruise, with all the variety and independence that provides. The difference is simply that community is built in, whenever you choose to lean into it.

A Final Note From Us

This cruise is about bringing great families together for a great vacation. It is about shared experiences, easy connection, and giving our kids the chance to make friends they will talk about long after we are home.

There is something special about knowing other families like yours are onboard. Not because anything is missing, but because it simply makes an already incredible vacation even better.

If this sounds like your kind of week, we would love to have you join us.

Spaces are limited for this group sailing. Secure your spot through our simple self-service sign up. Once we learn a bit about your family, we will personally provide a tailored quote that fits your cabin needs and travel style.

We cannot wait to sail with you.
