Travel insurance is highly recommended for all group travellers and will be offered during the booking process.

Even with careful planning, travel can be impacted by unexpected events such as illness, medical emergencies, flight delays or cancellations, lost luggage, or the need to cancel or interrupt your trip. Travel insurance helps protect your financial investment and provides peace of mind should the unexpected occur.

We offer Manulife Travel Insurance, a trusted Canadian provider. Depending on the plan selected, coverage may include:

• Trip cancellation and interruption
• Emergency medical coverage while travelling
• Baggage loss or delay
• Travel delays and missed connections
• Replacement cost for lost or stolen passport, driver’s license, birth certificate or travel visa. Up to$500 in the premium plans and $200 in the other plans that cover luggage.

As part of Manulife’s Premium Protection Plan or Non-Medical Inclusive coverage, travellers are also entitled to Blink Flight Assistance, an added benefit designed to provide fast, direct support during flight disruptions.

Blink Flight Assistance includes:

• If your flight is delayed 3 hours or more, each registered traveller automatically receives a $40 e-transfer
• For delays of 6 hours or more, an additional $100 e-transfer
• If your flight is cancelled entirely, you will receive $140

These payments are sent directly to your bank account and are in addition to any airline compensation (if applicable) and any trip interruption coverage included in your insurance policy.

Please note:

• Travel insurance must be purchased before a known event occurs.
• Once an event becomes known (such as a storm, airline disruption, or strike), insurance will not cover that specific event if purchased afterward.

While travel insurance is optional, choosing not to purchase coverage means you may be responsible for 100% of any costs related to cancellations, changes, medical care, or travel disruptions. For this reason, we strongly encourage all travellers to protect their trip with insurance.
