Around Australia Adventure
Jan 17 - Feb 19, 2028
Australian Adventure: Sydney-to-Sydney (34 Days / Jan 17 – Feb 19, 2028)
January 17th we will be staying in a nice hotel in Sydney and we will have our Outlander Welcome Dinner! The next morning there will be an included transfer to the ship and then we’ll be circumnavigating Australia aboard the Seven Seas Mariner®, setting off from Sydney and returning there after 33 days of coastlines, remote islands, reef dives, city lights, wildlife, and wide-open ocean.
What Makes This Trip Special
- All-inclusive luxury: shore excursions included, specialty dining, drinks & wine, spa access, WiFi - all included!
- Small ship feel with high service standards
- A mix of iconic cities and remote spots — places few get to on a single voyage.
Key Stops & Highlights
Here are many of the ports & legs we’ll hit, plus why each is exciting:
Port / Leg | What’s Cool / What to Expect |
Sydney | Start & finish here. Harbor views, Opera House, city energy, good prep & wrap-up time. |
Brisbane | Urban + subtropical vibes, gardens, local culture. |
Airlie Beach | Gateway to the Whitsundays; great for snorkeling, sailing around islands. |
Townsville | Tropical north Queensland; coral reefs nearby, laid-back towns. |
Willis Island (technical call) | More of a maritime stop than tourist-destination; interesting for logistical/nautical detail. |
Cairns | One of the big ones — access to Great Barrier Reef, rainforests, adventure. |
Darwin | Remote, rugged, rich in aboriginal culture, feels unlike the east coast. |
Broome | Kimberley region; beaches, history, pearl farming, remote atmosphere. |
Exmouth | Dramatic coastline, marine life, great diving or snorkeling options. |
Geraldton | Western Australian port; maritime heritage, relaxed atmosphere. |
Fremantle (Perth) | Big city plus arts, food, wine; gateway to Western Australia’s wilds. |
Albany | Rugged southern coast; beautiful cliffs, cooler climate. |
Adelaide | Wine regions nearby (Barossa, McLaren Vale), mix of culture & food. |
Penneshaw (Kangaroo Island) | Wildlife: sea lions, kangaroos, native flora; more isolated feel. |
Melbourne | Big city, arts, food, more urban contrast after weeks at sea. |
Hobart (Tasmania) | Wilderness, fresh seafood, cooler weather, unique landscapes. |
Eden | Southern coastline; often quieter, scenic coastal views, perhaps whale watching depending on season. |
Also, there are several sea days between ports: good time for reflection, ship amenities, stargazing, relaxing without rush.
