TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Passport & Visas
Valid passport required — must be valid at least 6 months beyond travel dates with a minimum of 4 blank pages (2 facing pages required for South Africa entry). Zimbabwe visa required for US and Canadian citizens: two single-entry visas at $75 USD each (~$150 total). Apply in advance at evisa.gov.zw or purchase on arrival in USD cash.

Health
Malaria prophylaxis recommended for Zimbabwe and Botswana — consult your physician 2–3 weeks before departure. Each traveler is responsible for their own inoculations. If transiting Dubai with prescription narcotics or controlled medications, complete the UAE electronic form at mohap.gov.ae.

Currency & Tipping
Zimbabwe accepts both Zimbabwe Gold and USD. Foreign credit cards are generally accepted at hotels and restaurants. Carry small USD denominations for tips. Gratuities are not prepaid — customary tips for Tour Manager, drivers, housekeeping, and boat staff are handled individually.

Activity Level: Level 3 — On-the-Go Traveler
Expect 2–3 hours of walking and standing, long days in safari vehicles on bumpy roads with limited restroom access, frequent climbing in and out of vehicles, and independent boarding of boats on the Chobe and Zambezi rivers. Several game drives depart at 6:00 a.m. Not suitable for travelers using wheelchairs, mobility aids, or oxygen tanks. Maximum elevation: 5,535 ft / 1,816 m.

Good to Know
3 internal flights included — schedule changes may require early or late departures. 2 long transfer days with 3+ hours of driving. Morning temperatures in October–November range from 45–55°F (7–13°C) with warm daytime temperatures. Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed. Table Mountain Cableway is subject to weather conditions.
