Targeted Dates for this Itinerary
Spring and Fall but okay for holidays
The best times to visit Newport, Rhode Island, are late spring (mid-May to early June) and early fall (September to mid-October). These shoulder seasons offer mild weather (50s–70s°F), ideal for walking the Cliff Walk, sailing, or biking Ocean Drive. Spring features blooming gardens and quieter streets, with events like the Newport Flower Show, while fall brings vibrant foliage and festivals like the Newport Mansions Wine & Food Festival, with fewer crowds than summer. Summer (July–August) is lively with warm weather (70s–80s°F) and events like the Newport Jazz Festival, but it’s crowded with higher prices. Winter (December–February) offers holiday charm (e.g., Christmas at the Mansions) and mild temps (30s–40s°F), but some attractions close, and outdoor activities are limited. Early December is great for festive markets and mansion tours with milder weather than later winter.

When a trip attracts enough committed interest, we’ll let you know and then finalize the details with our on-site travel partners, post the confirmed price and itinerary, and open for official registration.
Once confirmed, these will be fully hosted, small-group journeys — with every detail handled for you from start to finish. Each itinerary will be designed to include accommodations, in-country transportation, guided excursions, select meals, and expert local hosts. You’ll travel with the group throughout the program, so there’s no need to plan or arrange anything yourself.
Airfare: International airfare is not included, and you’re welcome to handle your flights however you prefer — including using frequent-flyer miles.
