Welcome to Augsburg CGEE in Mexico!  CGEE has been offering educational programming in various locations in Mexico since 1979.  Since 1982 CGEE has operated a study center in Cuernavaca, about two hours south of Mexico City, with a permanent staff team.  CGEE’s longevity has allowed us to develop deep and trusting relationships with people and organizations across a broad cross section of Mexican society.  On your custom program with CGEE you will experience Mexico’s cultural richness while getting a glimpse of the daily lives and struggles of its diverse population.

This hybrid course that includes a 12 day trip to Mexico will provide you with the opportunity to immerse yourself in the cultures of central Mexico and to engage in a real-world learning experience by co-teaching, observing, and collaborating with local Mexican teachers and students in Cuernavaca.  By participating in this program that focuses on the themes of culture, language, identity, and social justice, you will identify similarities and differences in the educational system from the United States and Mexico

Before embarking on any international adventure, it's crucial to understand and fulfill the necessary entry requirements for your chosen destinations. Travelers are solely responsible for reviewing specific entry requirements and visa regulations. For U.S. citizens, comprehensive information can be found on the U.S. Department of State's website. If you are not a U.S. citizen, please consult your local consulate or embassy to ascertain any entry requirements for your nationality.

A valid passport is required for this trip. We strongly recommend that your passport has at least six months of remaining validity beyond your planned return date, as many countries enforce this rule and may deny entry otherwise. In the event of an emergency abroad, having a valid passport will also significantly simplify and expedite your return to the United States.

When entering your information for ticketing, please ensure your legal name, gender, and date of birth exactly match what appears on your passport. We know many travelers go by a different name day-to-day—our system has a spot for your preferred name, and we're happy to use that in all our communications with you. However, airlines and immigration authorities require that your ticket information precisely matches your travel documents.

Even small discrepancies—a missing middle name, a nickname instead of your legal first name, or an incorrect gender marker—can result in being denied boarding at the gate or complications with immigration when entering your destination or returning to the United States. We will not be responsible for denial of boarding or entry due to incorrect traveler documentation or insufficient travel documents.
