No alarms, no port schedule, and nowhere you have to be! Sea days are your opportunity to slow down, explore the ship, and experience everything Allure of the Seas has to offer.
Allure is packed with activities for little kids, big kids, teens, and adults. Your family can spend the day together, split up for age-specific activities, relax by the pool, catch a show, challenge yourselves to something adventurous, or do a little bit of everything.
One of the best parts of a sea day for families is Adventure Ocean, Royal Caribbean's supervised youth program. Kids can spend time with others around their own age while parents enjoy some time on their own.
Royal Caribbean offers programming designed for its youngest cruisers.
Royal Babies: 6–18 months
Royal Tots: 18–36 months
Programming for children under 3 is different from the regular Adventure Ocean program and may include parent-supervised play sessions and/or nursery services depending on the sailing and availability.
Check the Royal Caribbean app and Adventure Ocean once onboard for exact hours, availability, registration requirements, and any applicable fees.
The youngest members of Adventure Ocean have their own age-appropriate programming.
Activities can include:
Children must be fully toilet trained and out of diapers/pull-ups to participate in the regular Adventure Ocean program.
Explorers get a mix of active play, creativity, science and social activities.
Programming can include:
Older elementary-age kids get programming designed to give them more independence while still providing supervised activities.
Activities may include:
Teens aren't grouped in with the younger children's programming. Royal Caribbean offers teen-focused spaces and activities where they can meet other cruisers their age.
Activities can include:
Teen programming may be divided by age depending on the sailing, participation and scheduled activity.
Important: Adventure Ocean activities, groupings and operating hours can vary by sailing. Regular Adventure Ocean programming is generally included, although fees apply for certain services and for Adventure Ocean programming after 10:00 PM.
There is MUCH more to Allure than the pool!
Take the plunge down this 10-story dry slide. This is one of the ship's signature thrill attractions and a great option for adventurous kids and adults.
Race down Typhoon and Cyclone, Allure's pair of twisting waterslides.
Try surfing or boogie boarding on a 40-foot-long surf simulator with thousands of gallons of rushing water.
Not ready to try it? Watching everyone else wipe out can be almost as entertaining!
Fly across the ship nine decks above the Boardwalk on Allure's zip line.
Challenge yourself on the ship's 40-foot climbing walls and enjoy an incredible view when you reach the top.
Yes, there is an actual ice-skating rink on the ship! Public skating sessions may be offered during your cruise.
Challenge the family to a round of miniature golf with an ocean view.
Look for scheduled and open-play activities such as basketball and other sports.
Check the day's schedule for open play, organized activities and tournaments.
Work together to solve puzzles and complete your mission in Allure's escape room.
Some attractions have minimum height, age, weight, clothing or footwear requirements. Reservations and/or additional fees may apply to certain experiences.
You could easily spend most of a sea day outside.
Designed especially for younger cruisers, Splashaway Bay is a colorful children's water-play area filled with fountains, sprayers, water features and plenty of opportunities to get soaked.
Allure's redesigned pool deck is a great home base for a relaxing sea day. Swim, find a lounger, grab something to eat and enjoy being in the middle of the action.
Take a break from running around the ship and relax in one of the whirlpools.
Adults looking for a quieter experience can head to the Solarium, Allure's adults-only retreat.
The Boardwalk is one of Allure's most family-friendly neighborhoods and is designed to feel like a classic seaside boardwalk.
Look for:
🎠 Boardwalk Carousel — Take a spin on the full-size carousel.
🌊 AquaTheater — An incredible outdoor theater at the back of the ship where divers, aerialists and performers take entertainment to another level.
🎮 Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade — Catch a game and enjoy the sports-bar atmosphere. Food and beverages here are an additional charge.
🍔 Johnny Rockets — Burgers, fries, shakes and classic diner vibes. Additional charges apply.
🌭 Boardwalk Dog House — Grab a hot dog while exploring the Boardwalk.
And don't forget to look UP — the zip line passes right over the neighborhood!
Yes, there is a real park in the middle of the ship!
Central Park is an open-air neighborhood filled with thousands of living plants, pathways, seating areas, restaurants and shops.
It's completely different from the energy of the pool deck and Boardwalk and is worth exploring even if you aren't eating there.
Central Park is also home to several of Allure's specialty dining venues.
Sea days are a great opportunity to experience Allure's entertainment.
Depending on your sailing's entertainment schedule, look for:
Royal Caribbean's full-scale production of the hit Broadway musical featuring the music of ABBA.
Head to the AquaTheater for a high-energy show combining high diving, acrobatics, music and incredible visual effects.
Allure's ice-skating cast takes over the rink for a professional ice show.
A theatrical production celebrating the natural world through music, performance and visual effects.
The ship also features live musicians and visiting entertainers throughout the cruise.
Some major shows may require or strongly recommend reservations. Popular performances can fill quickly, so check availability in the app.
Some of the best sea-day activities aren't permanent attractions — they're events that only happen at certain times.
Your Cruise Compass may include things like:
The schedule changes every day, so don't assume that what was available yesterday will be offered at the same time today.
Take some time to wander the ship's different neighborhoods.
The Royal Promenade is one of the main hubs of the ship. You'll find restaurants, cafés, shops, entertainment and activities here throughout the day.
One of Allure's most unusual features is a bar that actually moves between the Royal Promenade and Central Park.
Browse the onboard boutiques and shops throughout the ship.
Adults and older guests can check out the fitness facilities or book spa and salon services. Many spa treatments and services are an additional charge.
You don't have to wait until dinner to explore Allure's food!
Depending on your dining package and what's included in your cruise fare, you'll find options including:
There are also specialty dining options available for an additional charge, including:
Tip: Sea days are popular dining days, so make specialty dining reservations ahead of time when possible.
There is no way to list everything happening onboard in advance because Royal Caribbean publishes a daily schedule for each sailing.
Open the Royal Caribbean app every morning and look at the day's activities.
You'll be able to see things like:

Don't try to do everything! Allure of the Seas is enormous, and sea days are meant to be enjoyed. Pick a few "must-do" activities, leave some room for spontaneous fun, and don't forget that relaxing by the pool with nowhere to be counts as a sea-day activity too.
Activities, entertainment, operating hours and availability are subject to change. Some experiences require reservations, carry an additional fee, or have age, height, weight or other participation requirements. Always check the Royal Caribbean app and onboard signage for the most current information for our sailing.
