We are so excited that you want to join us on this amazing, life-changing journey into the Wilds of Southern Africa & Zimbabwe!
Your Journey at a Glance
September 21 to October 5, 2027
Our journey begins deep in the Greater Kruger, where the true heart of Africa beats strongest. We will stay first at Umkumbe Bush Lodge in the legendary Sabi Sand, and then at Nambu Camp in the Olifants West Nature Reserve, two intimate camps chosen for their exceptional wildlife and their genuine warmth.
Here, our days follow the gentle rhythm of the bush. We rise before dawn for morning game drives, when the predators are most active and the light is soft and golden. We walk quietly through the bush with expert guides, learning to read tracks and the hidden language of the wild. As the afternoon cools, we set out again, ending each day with sundowners beneath an endless African sky. And on one unforgettable day, we will glide on a private cruise through the breathtaking Blyde River Canyon, one of the largest green canyons on earth.
From the wilderness, we fly to Cape Town and settle into our home base in the charming seaside village of Hout Bay. From here, we will journey to the dramatic cliffs of Cape Point, spend time with the delightful African penguins at Boulders Beach, and ride the cableway to the top of Table Mountain for views that will stay with you forever. We will raise a glass at historic Groot Constantia, South Africa's oldest wine estate, and witness one of nature's most beautiful spectacles: the West Coast wildflowers in full spring bloom, painting the landscape in every color imaginable.
Zimbabwe: Where the Smoke Thunders
Our adventure continues with an unforgettable extension to Zimbabwe. At Masuwe Lodge, we will head out on game drives in Zambezi National Park and stand in awe before the magnificent Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, known locally as "the smoke that thunders." For those who wish to see it from above, an optional helicopter flight offers a perspective you will never forget.
We end our journey in pure serenity on exclusive Chundu Island, where the mighty Zambezi River flows gently past. Here there is nothing to do but rest, reflect, and savor everything we have experienced together, with sunset cruises, the calls of hippos and birds, and the quiet beauty of island life.
Make It Your Own
Along the way, wonderful optional experiences allow you to shape the journey around your own passions, from whale watching along the coast and riding the Franschhoek Wine Tram through the vineyards, to a Cape Malay cooking class in the colorful Bo-Kaap neighborhood.
We cannot wait to share this journey with you.
