We are a small “agriturismo” and although our farm exists since 1972 we have opened to tourism in 2014 with our farm store where we serve drinks, granita and light food prepared with our products. We grow mainly lemons and citrus fruits but also vegetables and mediterranean fruit. We are open for lunch and Every morning we pick our vegatables with which we prepare traditional dishes. We like to inform guests that our farm is in Amalfi , in the north section, along the path that leads to the “Valle delle Ferriere” which is the same path that from Ravello or Scala or Pontone leads to Amalfi so if you decide to visit us, you should remember to wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to walk. Walking along the beautiful valley and among all the lemon tree terraces makes the effort pleasant and exciting.
Agriturismo Fore Porta can be found along the path which leads to the area of naturalistic interest, Valle delle Ferriere; we offer a daily menu which includes traditional courses prepared exclusively with seasonal zero km products picked freshly every morning.
Besides the dishes of our culinary tradition, visitors can taste other wonderful products :
Our granita prepared with juice of our daily picked lemons, fresh fruit of the season, limoncello and our homemade cakes.
Can you imagine a better place than an agriturismo where to learn how to prepare dishes of the local tradition ?
Here at Fore Porta we propose Mediterranean cooking lessons where participants will learn how to prepare local recipes. At the end of the lesson Guests will taste the delicious dishes prepared with Mamma Mena .
On the terraces of Fore Porta we work the land following the natural cycle of seeding paying attention to seasonality; for this reason the supply of products changes with the turn over of seasons.
In order to guarantee flavor and authenticity, we mostly propose in the agriturismo and in the sales point, products grown on our land in limited quantity.
Upon reservation it is possible to visit the terraces of the farm to see the beauties of nature and smell the scent of lemons all over.
A visit which will allow Guests to enjoy and imagine the hard work of the local farmers who build the trellis with chestnut poles, and with sacrifice keep in shape the terraces which distinguish and typify the landscape of the entire Amalfi Coast.
