MARAS - MORAY AND CHINCHERO TOUR (Full day)
Visit the salt mines located near Maras dating from colonial times; a very photogenic place. You walk around the salt mines while your guide tells you about the history of this interesting place. Visit to Chinchero, believed to be the mythical birthplace of the rainbow. On Chinchero's main plaza, you find a colonial church built in the 17th century. On Sundays, the mass takes place, but that day you can wander around the market of the town. In the afternoon, you return to your hotel. Finally, we will visit Moray, a small community famous for its embedded amphitheater that is formed by circular terraces which seem to disappear into the ground. Scientists think that Moray has played an important role in the agricultural research conducted by the Incas. Afterwards, return to Cusco.
