Put on your comfy walking shoes cause you're going to stretch your legs and lungs and enjoy a leisurely walk/hike up Calton Hill and over to Arthurs Seat before finishing at the Palace of Holyroodhouse.
Edinburgh was said to have been built across seven hills, and Calton Hill is one of the most easily identified of these geographical features. We'll be checking out the amazing views of Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile, along with the National Monument (aka Edinburgh's Shame), City Observatory and Nelson Monument.
From here we'll head toward the Palace of Holyroodhouse where we'll begin a 2.8 mile loop hike with 823 feet of elevation gain. If hiking isn't your thing, there are flatter walking paths around the seat and enjoy the views of St. Margaret's Loch.
Holyrood Park is a breathtaking landscape of rolling hills, dramatic cliffs, and tranquil lochs. Dominated by the iconic Arthur’s Seat, this ancient volcanic site offers stunning views of the city and beyond.
