Torri's Personal Notes: This is one of my personal favorites. You can be in the middle of everything or find one of the many quiet spots on property. The beach here is long and can be absolutely amazing! There is a chance of sargassum here, especially in the summer months. But seaweed and sargassum are a Mother Nature thing and can not be predicted. In any destination, the beach could be full of it one day and absolutely gorgeous and clear the next.

While I haven't had a chance to see the new Dunas Private Pool suites in person yet, I can tell they are the best option on property and would be my pick!

The Emerald Junior Suites are absolutely incredible. Depending on the building location and whether you're on the first or second floor, your view of the ocean may vary (and is not guaranteed), but it is gorgeous either way! The Golden room category is next to the quiet pool and was just renovated as well. The rooms are good size (some layouts are choppy though). Silver Superior Jr. Suites are also newly refurbished but it is important to note that there is very little bathroom privacy in these rooms.

At the resort you will find 11 bars (martini, sports, beach bar, pool bars and more) and 7 a la carte dinner options - Mexican, Asian fusion, seafood, Greek, Japanese and French. Reservations are first come, first serve, except for the Japanese restaurant, where reservations are made same day. Men must wear long pants to dinner. The food here is great for an all-inclusive. There are nightly shows and live music.

One of the reasons that Valentin is able to offer very competitive pricing to other resorts is because they do not offer liquor or wine in the guest rooms as part of the minibar. If having more than beer in the room is important to you, I recommend adding the Prive package.
