Breakfast at the Hotel
Today’s experience brings you into the heart of Parian culture with a hands-on cooking class set in the peaceful countryside. Surrounded by olive groves and rolling hills, you’ll be welcomed by a local host — often a seasoned home cook or chef — with a friendly “yia sou”, the Greek way of saying hello.
The setting may be an open-air terrace or a cozy, traditional farmhouse kitchen, where the island’s scenic beauty provides the perfect backdrop for a culinary journey. The cooking lesson will take place in a traditional boutique hotel.
You’ll prepare a full Greek meal from scratch using fresh, seasonal ingredients. Guided step by step, you might craft classic dishes such as Kolokithokeftedes (zucchini fritters with mint), Gemista (stuffed tomatoes and peppers), Tzatziki, and regional specialties like chickpea balls or octopus in wine sauce, depending on what’s in season. A sweet finish may include a traditional dessert such as halva or homemade Greek spoon sweets.
Throughout the class, your host will share stories about island life, family traditions, and the heritage behind the recipes — offering a deeper connection to the food and the culture that created it.
Once the dishes are complete, you’ll gather at a shaded table to enjoy your meal together, served with local wine and warm conversation.
The remainder of your day is yours to spend at leisure — relax by the sea, explore Paros' charming villages, or simply enjoy the slower pace of island life.
