- Pointe du Hoc Your first stop may be at Pointe du Hoc, a cliffside battlefield that played a crucial role in the D-Day invasion. The site was the location of one of the most daring assaults by U.S. Army Rangers, who scaled the cliffs under enemy fire to take control of German artillery positions. Walking among the remnants of bunkers and craters, you will witness firsthand the scars left on the landscape from this intense combat. The stunning views of the English Channel, coupled with the haunting reminders of war, make this stop a powerful and moving experience.
- Omaha Beach Next, you may visit the infamous Omaha Beach, one of the five beaches where Allied forces landed on June 6, 1944. Omaha Beach saw some of the fiercest fighting and highest casualties, earning its reputation as "Bloody Omaha." Here, your guide will recount the heroic efforts of the U.S. soldiers as they fought to secure a foothold in Nazi-occupied Europe. - American Cemetery Your tour may conclude with a visit to the Normandy American Cemetery, located above Omaha Beach. - Cancellation fees: Deposit: Your Deposit goes to secure the different elements in your itinerary with our partners. Some of this money may not be refundable. But in general your cancellation fee up to 60 days before the beginning of your trip is $300 per person cancellation fee plus any non refundable deposits to our partners to secure your booking. From 59 to 31 days prior to the beginning of your trip = 40% of full cost cancellation fee plus any non refundable deposits to our partners to secure your booking. From 30 days prior to the beginning of your trip = 100% of full cost cancellation fee.
