Waves of Learning: Inclusive Practices at Sea – An Educational Retreat for Early Childhood Educators

Embark on a transformative journey aboard the Carnival Vista as we set sail for a 6-day Eastern Caribbean adventure, designed exclusively for early childhood educators passionate about inclusion and growth. Departing from Port Canaveral on November 8, 2026 this unique retreat combines professional development, self-care, and hands-on learning opportunities in an inspiring maritime setting.

During two immersive days at sea, educators will participate in engaging training sessions focused on inclusive practices, mindfulness, and creating supportive learning environments. Highlights include exploring Carnival’s Camp Ocean, an overview of KultureCity’s sensory-inclusive program, and interactive workshops designed to blend classroom theory with playful, experiential learning.

Between the training sessions, participants will have the chance to apply their newfound knowledge during curated activities such as setting up a Dr. Seuss-themed reading area, practicing mindfulness, and interacting with beloved characters like the Cat in the Hat. You’ll also learn the art of balancing work and self-care through guided moments of fun at WaterWorks, the onboard arcade, and other exciting venues.

With stops in Amber Cove, Half Moon Cay™, and Carnival’s new Celebration Key™, this retreat offers a harmonious blend of professional enrichment and personal rejuvenation. Whether you’re looking to enhance your inclusive practices, connect with like-minded peers, or simply unwind, the Waves of Learning retreat promises an unforgettable experience at sea.
