This morning, after breakfast (early, in order to avoid the city traffic as much as possible), we will enjoy one of the most iconic experiences Delhi has to offer.
Imagine getting lost in the lively, crowded streets of Old Delhi, where past and present blend into a whirlwind of colors, sounds, and scents. The visit begins with a must-see stop at the majestic Jama Masjid, one of India’s most iconic places of worship, renowned for its imposing Mughal architecture. But the real adventure starts as soon as we step outside its courtyard and dive into the narrow, bustling lanes of Old Delhi.
Riding a rickshaw, you will be carried through the vibrant chaos of this historic district, where lively markets sell spices, textiles, and local handicrafts. Slowly, you will begin to tune into the rhythm of the place: the calls of the vendors, the aromas of traditional street food, and the sight of family-run shops lining the narrow streets. At a certain point, an unexpected sense of order will emerge—much like Alice falling down the rabbit hole, you may feel as though you’ve entered another world, suspended in time.
After the rickshaw ride, we will continue on foot through the lanes of Chandni Chowk and Dariba Kalan, two of Delhi’s most fascinating and traditional neighborhoods. Here, you’ll have the chance to watch skilled artisans at work and discover hidden corners rich in history. This immersive experience allows you to encounter the true soul of Delhi, far from the usual tourist routes, and to understand the city’s vibrant energy—where every corner tells a centuries-old story.

Questa mattina, dopo la prima colazione (di buon’ora, per cercare di evitare il traffico della città), vivremo una delle esperienze più caratteristiche di Delhi.
Immaginate di perdervi tra le vie affollate e vibranti di Old Delhi, dove passato e presente si mescolano in un turbinio di colori, suoni e profumi. La visita inizia con una tappa doverosa alla maestosa Moschea Jama Masjid, uno dei luoghi di culto più iconici dell’India, celebre per la sua imponente architettura moghul. Ma la vera avventura comincia non appena lasciamo il suo cortile per immergerci nei vicoli stretti e animati di Old Delhi.
A bordo di un rickshaw, vi lascerete trasportare attraverso il caos di questo quartiere storico, dove i mercati brulicanti vendono spezie, tessuti e artigianato locale.
