Our excursion to the Anne Frank House offers a deeply moving journey into one of the most powerful stories of the Second World War. Located along Amsterdam’s historic Prinsengracht canal, the museum preserves the secret annex where Anne Frank, her family, and four others hid from Nazi persecution for more than two years.
During the visit, students and travelers can walk through the narrow rooms behind the famous movable bookcase and experience the atmosphere in which Anne wrote her world-renowned diary. The museum combines preserved spaces with photographs, personal belongings, videos, and historical documents that vividly illustrate daily life in hiding and the horrors of the Holocaust. Anne’s original diary is one of the highlights of the exhibition.
Beyond its historical importance, the Anne Frank House encourages reflection on themes such as freedom, discrimination, human rights, and tolerance. Many visitors describe the experience as emotional and unforgettable because it connects history to a personal story of hope, fear, and resilience.
