Checked-Bag
Southwest allows all ticketed Passengers to check two bags for free, so long as neither bag exceeds 50 lbs or 62 inches (L+W+H). Baggage fees may apply when flying on an itinerary that includes travel on a partner airline.
NOTE: Southwest will not charge standard checked bag fees for your first or second checked bag for any reservations booked and ticketed or changed on or before May 27, 2025, regardless of your travel date (weight and size limits apply).
For reservations booked and ticketed or changed on or after May 28, 2025, checked baggage fees will apply. We will offer two free checked bags to our Rapid Rewards A-List Preferred Members and Business Select® Customers, and one free checked bag to A-List Members and other select Customers. Southwest® will credit the first checked bag for Rapid Rewards Credit Cardmembers. Weight and size limits apply.
