💡 Tip: Even though a passport is not required for U.S.-only cruises, it’s always smart to bring one just in case of emergency.
Beginning May 7, 2025, a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license (or another acceptable ID, such as a passport) will be required to board domestic flights.Check your ID for a star in the top corner—if it’s missing, bring a valid passport instead.
Even for U.S.-only cruises, it’s always safest to travel with a valid U.S. passport. If plans change or emergencies happen, having a passport gives you more flexibility.
