This Alaska journey is built to ease you in — and then completely wow you. You’ll begin in Fairbanks, where Alaska’s frontier spirit comes to life. One of your first highlights is the iconic Riverboat Discovery sternwheeler. You’ll cruise the Chena and Tanana Rivers, see real working homesteads, and get a feel for daily life in the Interior. It’s hands-on, authentic, and a fantastic way to start the trip.

From there, you’ll head south to Denali National Park for two nights near the park. This is where Alaska goes big. Your included Tundra Wilderness Tour takes you deep into Denali for wildlife sightings, wide-open landscapes, and — if the weather cooperates — unforgettable views of Denali itself. It’s quiet, powerful, and a total contrast to life at sea.

Then it’s time to relax and let Alaska come to you. You’ll board Nieuw Amsterdam with Holland America Line. As you sail toward Vancouver, you’ll explore Skagway, Juneau, and Ketchikan, then slow way down for scenic cruising past Hubbard Glacier and through Glacier Bay National Park, with a park ranger onboard bringing the landscape to life.

So this isn’t just an Alaska cruise. It’s Alaska from the inside out — starting rugged, going wild, and ending in total comfort as you sail all the way to Vancouver.
