A private, half-day tour of the city of Cape Town. This morning, you will be collected from your hotel for a private, half-day tour of the city of Cape Town. Cape Town is the oldest city in South Africa and as such has acquired the name of the "Mother City". Today we take a walk through the history of the city; its people, its buildings and its business district. Highlights of today will be: Ascending the cable car to the top of Table Mountain (weather dependent). From the top of Table Mountain, you enjoy panoramic views of the city and after a short stroll on a clear day, you will be able to see Cape Point (weather dependent!). We have purchased Fast Track tickets. Visit to the Company Gardens. After our visit to the Mountain - we head to the Company Gardens - the oldest part of Cape Town - for a walk through this historic part of Cape Town. Here we explore the old history of the Dutch India Company occupation, followed by the invasion of the British in 1795. Both had a distinct impact on the city in terms of architecture. Finally, we'll take a short driving tour of the city before returning you to your hotel.
