Our final evening calls for one thing: doing absolutely nothing, beautifully.
Sky Lagoon sits on the edge of the North Atlantic, and the views alone are worth it - but we're here for the full Skjól Ritual, a 7-step experience rooted in centuries of Icelandic bathing tradition. Here's what you're in for:
Laug (Lagoon) - Start in the geothermal infinity pool at 38–40°C, soaking in ocean views and letting the mineral-rich water do its thing.
Kuldi (Cold Plunge) - Yes, you're getting in. 5–8°C. Commit fully, it's worth it — this is where the endorphin rush happens.
Ylur (Sauna) - A dry sauna at 80–90°C with a floor-to-ceiling window overlooking the ocean. Quiet, hot, and borderline cinematic.
Súld (Cold Mist) - Step into a -5°C mist to shock your system back to life. It's intense. Do it anyway.
Mykt (Sky Body Scrub) - Apply the signature sea salt scrub with almond and sesame oil all over your body (skip the face). Don't rinse it off yet.
Gufa (Steam Room) - Walk into the steam room with the scrub still on. The heat opens your pores and the scrub melts in. Your skin will never forgive you if you skip this step.
Saft (Elixir) - Sip a few ounces of Krækiber juice, crowberries grown on Iceland's lava fields. Rinse off, then return to the lagoon for as long as you want.
We'll be doing the Sér Pass - Sky Lagoon's premium package. That means private changing suites with showers, signature shampoo, conditioner, and Sky Body Lotion, plus a private vanity area with a blow dryer. No sharing a locker room with strangers on your last night in Iceland.
