Throughout the day, guests will explore historic landmarks, meaningful public art, celebrated local institutions, and vibrant cultural spaces while reflecting on the enduring legacy of African American history and achievement in Chicago. From powerful stories of the Great Migration to the artistic expression found throughout Bronzeville, this experience blends history, culture, conversation, and cuisine into a memorable and inspiring journey.

Transportation between experiences will be provided, allowing guests to relax, connect, and fully enjoy the day’s thoughtfully curated activities.

Monument to the Great Northern Migration

Visit the iconic Monument to the Great Northern Migration, a powerful tribute to the millions of African Americans who journeyed north in search of opportunity, dignity, and a better future. Located in the heart of Bronzeville, this historic sculpture symbolizes courage, hope, and transformation.

As we gather at this meaningful landmark, guests will be invited to reflect on and share stories of their own families’ journeys—from the South to cities across the North and beyond—honoring the legacy, resilience, and dreams carried through generations.

Pullman National Historical Park

Originally developed as one of the nation’s first planned industrial communities, Pullman later became deeply connected to the legacy of the Pullman Porters—African American railroad workers whose professionalism, activism, and influence played a major role in the growth of Black economic advancement and the Civil Rights Movement.

During our visit, we’ll explore the historic neighborhood, museum exhibits, and stories of resilience, entrepreneurship, and social change that continue to echo through generations today. This experience offers a deeper understanding of the people and movements that helped transform Chicago into one of the most important centers of Black culture and progress in the United States.

Experience the creativity, culture, and storytelling woven throughout Bronzeville during our guided mural and public art exploration. As we move through this historic neighborhood, you’ll discover vibrant murals, sculptures, and public art installations that celebrate Black history, music, migration, activism, entrepreneurship, and community pride.

From larger-than-life tributes to cultural icons to powerful visual reflections of everyday life, the artwork throughout Bronzeville serves as both an open-air gallery and a living history lesson. Along the way, we’ll pause for photos, conversation, and moments of reflection while exploring the artistic spirit that continues to shape one of Chicago’s most culturally significant neighborhoods.

Enjoy a soulful brunch/lunch experience at the iconic Pearl's Place, a beloved Bronzeville institution known for its warm hospitality, comforting Southern cuisine, and longstanding connection to Chicago’s Black cultural community.

Located just minutes from downtown Chicago, Pearl’s Place has become a gathering place for locals and visitors alike, offering an elevated take on classic soul food favorites in an inviting and welcoming atmosphere. Following our day of cultural exploration and neighborhood touring, guests will have time to relax, connect, and enjoy a memorable meal together.

Each guest will receive a $20 dining voucher to use toward their brunch/lunch selection during our visit.
