Overview

Come with me and let's get away on an 8-day cruise through Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, and Romania along the lower Danube, featuring historical and cultural excursions.

We will explore worlds untouched, in many ways, compared to Western Europe, experience old-world wines, take advantage of slower-paced travel, and incorporate wellness into our daily plans (we can try!)

What sets AmaWaterways apart? There are several nuisances that you'll experience on AmaWaterways: larger rooms, fewer passengers, included excursions, wine varietals change nightly, free usage of bikes, which can be reserved before sailing, and interesting on-board lectures.

This specific cruise has been designated as a Wine Cruise. Meaning we will taste Bulgarian wine in Vidin and visit one of the oldest red-wine-growing areas in Szekszárd. We will have a dedicated wine expert to guide us as we indulge in wine tastings and a specially curated food and wine pairing dinner on board. Venture off the beaten path and enjoy an epicurean adventure that includes brandy and local wines in five distinctive countries.

Traveling with a small group is a great way to build new relationships and deepen friendships. I would love to spend time traveling and learning with you!
