Overview

This trip is one I have been planning for a long time, and I think you are going to love every bit of it. You will spend 10 days tracing the Danube through some of Europe's most festive cities, from imperial Vienna to medieval Regensburg and the world-famous Christmas market in Nuremberg, before finishing with a few days in Munich and an optional day trip to Salzburg. The combination of a river cruise with land extensions gives you the best of both worlds: a comfortable floating home base through the Austrian and Bavarian countryside, plus real time to get off the ship and explore. The Wachau Valley alone is worth the trip.
