A mere half hour from the city of Bordeaux, find yourself in the midst of the vineyards and wineries of the Medoc, a formerly swampy area, converted by Dutch traders for wine production in the 17th century. The area is particularly renowned for producing some of the world’s most famous wines. Over the course of your day, you'll visit 3 Classified Growth and/or Cru Bourgeois estates that have been carefully selected for their exceptional setting and quality wine. During these visits you will learn all there is to know about the history of the estates, the wine making process, as well as their unique techniques used during the wine making. The visits are followed by an included wine tasting session at each location, as you refine your palate and learn to recognize a wine according to the appellation: Margaux, Pauillac, St Estèphe, St Julien, or Haut Médoc. Driving along the Castle Road, you'll be able to admire some famous chateaus today like Chateau Margaux or Chateau Pichon Longueville.
