Alas Kedaton is home to one of Bali's famous monkey forests. With towering nutmeg trees that are unique to this area and hold sacred significance to the Balinese people, it is a must-visit destination to encounter Bali's mischievous macaque monkeys. No trip to Bali would be complete without witnessing these playful creatures. Moving on to Mengwi, we will explore the former Royal Temple, Pura Taman Ayung, which was constructed in 1634 and is widely regarded as one of the most exquisite temples on the island. This tour also includes a sunset visit to Tanah Lot, one of Bali's most photographed temples. Perched precariously on a rock just off the shore, this temple is a sight to behold, especially as the day draws to a close and the surroundings take on a surreal atmosphere. Relax at Sunset Corner, a local café in Tanah Lot, and savour the refreshing taste of fresh young coconut water or a bintang beer, accompanied by some snacks, while you watch the sun set.
