Fuel up with a hearty breakfast this morning in preparation for today's scenic journey. Take in expansive views overlooking the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument before descending into Bryce Canyon National Park via the Fairyland Loop, a seldom-visited section of the park filled with hoodoos, the totem-pole-shaped rock spires that characterize Bryce. Along the trail we're treated to views of Boat Mesa rising above the tops of hoodoos. Pass by Sinking Ship, a rock formation floating in the distance. The enormous China Wall, a rampart of hoodoos and rock protruding out from Bryce's Pink Cliffs, guides us through the canyon before our ascent back to the canyon's rim.
After a filling lunch, your Trip Leaders fit your bike and give a brief talk on biking techniques and safety. Pedal through this surreal landscape along an undulating path and through a forest of towering Ponderosa Pines. Exiting the park, cruise past the rock cliffs of Red Canyon back to our comfortable glamping site.
This afternoon there's time to unwind at our outdoor haven. After another memorable meal, gather for glamping oasis for dinner at your leisure.
