Begin your adventure with a hotel pick-up and transfer to the harbor. Around 10 a.m., board a public boat for an Amazon River journey, reaching Mocagua after an approximate 1.5-hour ride. Mocagua lies within the overlapping area of Amacayacu National Natural Park, a gateway to the Amazon's unique ecosystems. Arriving at Mocagua, you'll be welcomed into an indigenous community where life flows at a tranquil, harmonious pace, a refreshing contrast to the hustle of urban areas. Visit a local family and learn traditional techniques for crafting versatile baskets from straw, a skill passed down through generations. In the afternoon, visit to "Maikuchiga," a monkey rehabilitation center dedicated to the conservation of Amazonian biodiversity. The foundation collaborates closely with the local community to protect endangered primates, providing sanctuary to confiscated primates and birds. When possible, they nurture and reintroduce these animals back into their natural environment. In the afternoon, participate in a craft workshop (chambira or ceramics) with the community. Conclude the day with a night hike, a rare opportunity to observe the Amazon's nocturnal wildlife in its natural habitat. Included meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner.
