Dr. Plourd’s biology degree from Pepperdine University and his M.D. from UCLA provide his scientific basis. Over thirty years of first-hand, up-close, and sometimes daring encounters with sea life provide his passion. Add to those his zest and talent for teaching, and guests will find themselves drawn in by his dramatic images, footage, and riveting commentary.
“Dr. Dave” has always been both passionate and compassionate in his career as a physician, and in his avocation as a naturalist. His enthusiasm is infectious, and his unafraid close enounters in the open ocean with whales, dolphins, and sharks makes for some very exciting viewing.
