Visa & Entry Requirements
For cruise itineraries that include Canada (including but not limited to Vancouver or Victoria), guests may be required to obtain a valid Canadian visa or travel authorization, even if the cruise departs from or returns to a United States port. Guests are solely responsible for verifying entry requirements through the Government of Canada and ensuring timely application and approval prior to travel. All application details must exactly match the guest’s passport and official travel documents.
A valid visa or travel authorization is required to board the vessel, regardless of whether the guest intends to disembark at any Canadian port. Failure to obtain the required documentation may result in denied boarding without refund, for which JCC Travels LLC bears no responsibility.
Additionally, cruise itineraries that include Alaska require compliance with United States entry requirements. Depending on nationality, guests may be required to obtain a valid U.S. visa or an approved ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) prior to travel. ESTA approvals are passport-specific; guests who obtain a new or replacement passport must reapply. Applicants must follow all current application requirements.
For travel to Europe and the United Kingdom, additional digital travel authorizations may be required for visa-exempt travelers. The ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System) is expected to be implemented in late 2026 and will apply to entry into 30+ European countries. The United Kingdom ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) is currently being implemented and may already be required depending on nationality. These authorizations are not visas, are electronically linked to the traveler’s passport, and must be obtained prior to departure.
ETIAS and UK ETA approvals are expected to have limited validity periods (approximately three years for ETIAS and two years for UK ETA) and must be valid at the time of travel. Travelers without the required authorization may be denied boarding or refused entry at the border. Guests are responsible for monitoring official government updates, including implementation timelines, fees, and application procedures, and are advised to apply only through official government channels to avoid fraud or third-party scams.
Guests are strongly advised to apply for all required visas and authorizations well in advance and to review official government processing timelines. JCC Travels LLC is not responsible for delays, denials, changes in government policies, or errors in visa or travel authorization processing.
