Passport must be valid for six months after you return home. Name on your passport must match your airline ticket exactly, or you may not be allowed to board your flight. Passport book with at least 2 blank pages is required for travel. Visit www.travel.state.gov for more information about entry requirements and passport information.

New Entry Requirements for ALL International Visitors to the UK (which includes Scotland in this trip)
Starting in 2025, if you are traveling or transiting through to England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland you must apply online for an UK ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization). No ETA is needed if you transit airside, but if you pass through UK Border Control, one must be obtained before departure. Learn more at Gov ETA.

Many destinations require Visa or ETAs to be secured prior to arrival in country. Please review the requirements at the US State Department website. Reconfirm flight times and complete check-in on airline website 24 hours prior to departure.
Arrive to the airport 3 hours prior to departure for International travel and 2 hours prior to departure for Domestic travel.

If traveling with prescription medication, ensure the medication is legal in your destination country. Always carry your prescription medication in original packaging with your doctor’s prescription.
STEP (Smart Traveler Enrollment Program)When traveling abroad, it's a great idea to register your trip with Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP). This is a free service that allows US citizens and nationals that are traveling abroad to enroll trips with the nearest US embassy or Consulate. This gives you the ability to receive important safety alerts, and registering also allows the US embassy to contact you in the event of an emergency like a natural disaster, civil unrest or family emergency.
