🌷 Bruges, Medieval Flanders, Amsterdam & The Dutch Bulbfields River Cruise; with Optional Pre-Cruise Extension in Amsterdam AND Optional Post-Cruise Extension to Copenhagen

Mar 28 - Apr 4, 2027

March 28 – April 4, 2027 | No Single Supplement

Ready to trade winter gray for a burst of color, history, and charm? Join our Golden Girls on a springtime journey through Belgium and the Netherlands—where tulips bloom, chocolate calls your name, and canal-side cafés invite you to linger just a little longer.

This women-friendly river cruise is made for solo travelers—no single supplement means your own beautiful stateroom at no extra cost. We’ll sail in comfort and style as we wander cobbled lanes in Bruges, explore fairytale Ghent, and glide along Amsterdam’s dreamy canals.

The highlight? The world-famous Keukenhof Gardens, open for only a few weeks each spring. Picture seven million flowers bursting into bloom across 79 acres—it’s a kaleidoscope of color that simply takes your breath away.

For those who love history, we’ll also honor the past at poignant World War I and II sites—from Ypres to Oosterbeek’s Airborne Museum—powerful reminders of courage and resilience.

Whether you come for the gardens, the history, or the chocolate (no judgment), this is one unforgettable journey filled with laughter, learning, and friendship. 🌷🍷

  • Optional Pre-Cruise Extension in Amsterdam

Most people fly into Europe, push through the jet lag, and show up at their river cruise already tired.

    We’re not doing that.

Instead, we’re giving ourselves a few days to land, breathe, and ease into one of Europe’s most beautiful cities—so by the time we step on the ship, we feel good, grounded, and ready to enjoy every moment.

    This isn’t extra.
This is the part that makes the rest of the trip better.

    Price for Amsterdam Pre-Cruise:

The price per per for a single room is $ 4,467.00

The price per per for a Double room is $ 2,666.00

    Where we are staying:

The family-run boutique Hotel Estherea is housed in a row of 17th century buildings on the Singel, Amsterdam's oldest major canal and part of the ring of canals recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Dream away with the richly colored interior, the crystal chandeliers, the lavish fabrics and the expressive prints. Each of the 93 guestrooms and suites are individually styled, with no two alike. Located in the heart of Amsterdam, Dam Square, the central railway station, the main shopping area, museums, theaters, dining options and night life are all within walking distance. While there's no full restaurant on site, guests can relax with a cocktail and light snack at the on-site bar.

What our 3 1/2 days in Amsterdam will be like:

We’ve built this intentionally—enough structure to feel taken care of, with space to make it your own.

Day 1 – A First Look at Amsterdam
We head out on foot with a private guide and ease into the city—walking the canals, exploring the historic center, and getting a feel for how Amsterdam actually works.
At just the right moment, we take to the water for a small boat canal cruise—because seeing Amsterdam from the canals isn’t optional… it’s essential.

Day 2 – Art, History, and Context That Actually Sticks
We walk to Museumplein and spend the morning inside the Rijksmuseum with a guide who knows how to make it manageable—and interesting.
No wandering aimlessly. No overload. Just the highlights that matter, with the stories behind them.

Day 3 – Completely Your Day
Visit the Anne Frank House if it’s on your list (tickets must be booked individually in advance), explore neighborhoods like Jordaan, or settle into a café and let the day unfold naturally.

We’ll also give you curated suggestions—from museums like the Van Gogh Museum to hidden local spots—so you’re never wondering what to do.

    Day 4 – A Gentle Transition
One last slow morning in Amsterdam before we transfer together to the ship in the afternoon—already relaxed and ready for the next part of the journey.

    What's Included:

    • A thoughtfully designed pre-cruise itinerary
    • 3 nights in a centrally located Amsterdam hotel
    • Private guided walking tour of the city
    • Small group canal cruise
    • Guided visit to the Rijksmuseum
    • Daily breakfast
    • All transfers during scheduled activities, including transfer to the ship

  • Optional Post-Cruise Extension in Copenhagen

One of the things I love most about Copenhagen is that it offers so many different sides of Denmark in such a compact, easy-to-enjoy city.

Over our four days together, we'll experience a wonderful blend of history, culture, food, scenery, and the simple pleasure of being in one of Europe's most livable cities.

We'll spend time exploring the city itself, wandering elegant streets lined with colorful buildings, charming cafés, beautiful public squares, and the waterfront areas that give Copenhagen so much of its character. There will be opportunities to stroll through the famous Nyhavn harbor, browse local shops, people-watch from a café, and simply enjoy the relaxed rhythm of Danish life.

We'll venture beyond the city for a memorable day through the Danish countryside, where fairy-tale castles, coastal villages, and centuries of history await. We'll visit magnificent Frederiksborg Castle, one of Scandinavia's most spectacular Renaissance palaces, surrounded by beautiful gardens and a peaceful lake. We'll also visit Kronborg Castle, known around the world as Hamlet's Castle, perched dramatically along the sea and filled with fascinating stories of kings, queens, and Shakespearean legend.

Food is an important part of understanding any culture, and Denmark is no exception. We'll enjoy a hands-on smørrebrød experience where we'll learn the art of creating Denmark's famous open-faced sandwiches before sitting down to enjoy our creations together with local beer and aquavit. It's a fun, delicious, and uniquely Danish experience that goes far beyond simply eating lunch.

No visit to Copenhagen would be complete without time at Tivoli Gardens. Part amusement park, part garden, part cultural icon, Tivoli is one of the most beloved places in Denmark. The gardens, historic architecture, lights, music, and atmosphere create a sense of magic that is difficult to describe until you've experienced it yourself. It's easy to understand why Walt Disney found inspiration here when creating Disneyland.

    Price (for Copenhagen alone):

    • Single Room: $4,968
    • Double Room: $3,990 per person

    Where we are staying:

I spent a lot of time looking at hotels before choosing the Admiral Hotel.

Location matters in a city like Copenhagen, and the Admiral Hotel puts us exactly where we want to be.

Set right on the waterfront in a beautifully restored historic warehouse dating back to the 1700s, the hotel combines Danish history with the clean, comfortable Scandinavian style Copenhagen is known for today.

What our 4 days in Copehagen will be like:

Day 1 – Welcome to Copenhagen

Your Copenhagen adventure begins with a guided city tour by both bus and canal boat, giving you a wonderful introduction to the city's history, architecture, and waterfront neighborhoods. We'll watch the changing of the guard at Amalienborg Palace, see iconic landmarks like the Little Mermaid, enjoy time to wander, and end the day with an optional group dinner and a taste of Denmark's seasonal Easter beer.

    Day 2 – Castles & Countryside

Today we'll venture into the beautiful Danish countryside of North Zealand to visit two of Denmark's most spectacular castles: lakeside Frederiksborg Castle and Kronborg Castle, the legendary setting of Shakespeare's Hamlet. After a scenic and relaxed day exploring beyond the city, we'll return to Copenhagen for an optional group dinner.

    Day 3 – Danish Traditions & Tivoli

Experience Danish culture firsthand with a fun cooking class where you'll prepare your own traditional smørrebrød for lunch, accompanied by local beer and aquavit. In the evening, we'll visit the magical Tivoli Gardens, where beautiful gardens, live entertainment, twinkling lights, and perhaps even fireworks create a memorable finale to our time in Copenhagen.

Day 4 – Farewell (or Onward to Norway!)

After breakfast, a private transfer takes you to the airport—or, if you're joining us, onward to our Norway adventure. You'll head home with more than great photos—you'll leave with a genuine feel for Copenhagen and the Danish way of life.

    What’s Included:

✔ 4 nights at the Admiral Hotel (with breakfast)
✔ All tours and experiences listed
✔ Private driver for transfers and touring days
    ✔ Local expert guides
