After all these years Jacksonville is finally getting another cruise ship! Starting in the fall of 2025, the Norwegian Gem will be sailing from our home port bring their classic "freestyle" cruising to our area. For the unitiated, Freestyle Cruising is a Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) concept that allows passengers to create their own cruise schedules. It includes flexible dining, relaxed attire, and a variety of entertainment and activities.

Norwegian is an excellent option for families, second only to Royal Caribbean in their attention to quality family entertainment and attractions. Unlike Royal, however, Norwegian offers its guests more bang for their buck by including many popular amenities such as beverage packages, wifi, and specialty dining (among others). Note that actual amenities will vary based on the cabin category selected.
