Immersive New Zealand - A Suitcases & Savoir Faire Journey | April 12-25, 2027

Apr 12 - 25, 2027

Twelve days. Two islands. One of the most extraordinary places on earth.

New Zealand has a way of getting under your skin -- the kind of destination that surprises you even when you think you know what to expect. We've built this journey to give you the full picture: geothermal wonders and glacial fiords, Māori culture and Middle-earth, hot springs and open roads. All of it at a pace that lets you actually be there.

Day 1 | Auckland
You arrive, you exhale, and the adventure begins. A panoramic city orientation, a full-sensory All Blacks Experience, and dinner high above the city at the Sky Tower's rotating Orbit 360Β° restaurant. New Zealand makes quite a first impression.

Day 2 | Waiheke Island
A ferry from downtown Auckland delivers you to 92 square kilometres of vineyards, olive groves, and unhurried coastal village life. A guided food and wine tour, a long lunch overlooking the vines, and the afternoon is yours to wander.

Day 3 | Hobbiton + Rotorua
We make our way south through the rolling Waikato hills for a proper tour of the Hobbiton Movie Set -- more beautiful in person than on screen. By evening, we're settled into Rotorua, our base for the next three nights.

Day 4 | Rotorua
Geothermal steam, ancient craters, and the bubbling Champagne Pool at Wai-o-tapu Thermal Wonderland. That evening, a traditional Māori pōwhiri, cultural performance, and dinner at Te Puia -- lantern-lit and unforgettable.

Day 5 | Rotorua
A gentler day. A restorative soak at Wai Ariki Hot Springs & Spa drawing on mineral-rich geothermal waters, followed by a twilight kayak through a canyon lit by thousands of glowworms. One of those evenings you'll talk about long after you're home.

Day 6 | Rotorua β†’ Christchurch
We fly south to Christchurch, gateway to the South Island. After a easy arrival, the rest of the day is yours -- a chance to settle in, explore at your own pace, and get your first feel for the South Island's quieter, more open energy.

Day 7 | Christchurch
A low-key day by design. Wander the rebuilt city centre, take in the street art and innovative architecture that rose from the 2011 earthquake, or dip into one of the local museums. For those who want a little more, an optional Waka paddle along the Avon River offers a serene and scenic way to spend a morning. That evening, we gather for an optional cultural food tour -- a delicious introduction to local flavours before we head deeper into the South Island.

Day 8 | Christchurch β†’ Queenstown via Lake Tekapo
One of the great drives of the South Island. We travel through the sweeping Mackenzie Basin, stopping at Lake Tekapo where the turquoise water set against the Southern Alps is the kind of scenery that stops you mid-sentence. By the time Queenstown appears on the horizon, you'll already understand what all the fuss is about.

Day 9 | Queenstown
A full day with Nomad Safaris through the landscapes of Middle-earth -- Glenorchy, the Dart Valley, Paradise Forest, and Arrowtown, with gold panning along the Arrow River. Spectacular scenery, great company, and plenty of moments worth photographing.

Day 10 | Milford Sound
The crown jewel. A glass-roof coach through Fiordland's sheer mountains and cascading waterfalls, followed by an unhurried cruise the full length of the fiord. Optional scenic flights back to Queenstown -- by small plane or helicopter -- for those who want to make it truly unforgettable.

Day 11 | Queenstown
Yours. Wander the waterfront, explore the shops and cafΓ©s, or add an optional adventure. We'll gather for a farewell dinner that evening -- good food, good company, and that particular feeling of a trip well spent.

Day 12 | Depart Queenstown
One last breakfast, one last look at those mountains, and we head home -- refreshed, a little changed, and already thinking about the next one.
