All prices are expressed and charged in Canadian Dollars (CAD $). Any conversions are estimates only for general information purposes. Payments made in other currencies will be converted at the exchange rate applicable on the date of transaction as determined by Nexion Canada ULC and/or the credit card company.

Trip Inclusions

  • Full board accommodation, including single occupancy room plus:
    • 6 breakfasts
    • 5 lunches

  • Exclusive use of the property’s sitting and dining rooms, garden and terraces, and other facilities
  • Daily writing workshop sessions
  • One 1:1 coaching session with Kirsten or Lisa
  • Tai chi sessions as offered
  • One cultural excursion
  • Arrival and departure transportation between Malaga Airport and the retreat location, provided at one specified time each way
  • Free time for writing

Payment Details

Deposit - CAD $1000 (non-refundable, due upon booking)

Final Payment Due - June 12, 2026

Cancellation Policy

Lisa Colleen Carter and Intralingo Travel must receive all cancellation requests in writing. 

The following cancellation penalties will apply:

  • Until June 12, 2026: Loss of CAD$1000 non-refundable deposit
  • June 13, 2026 to departure: 100% loss of trip cost

Note: In the event of delayed or cancelled flights, we cannot accept responsibility for financial losses incurred, and refunds cannot be offered for the retreat.

Retreat Schedule

The daily retreat schedule will be provided soon.

Trip Exclusions include but are not limited to: 

  • International Flights
  • Domestic transportation not listed in the itinerary
  • Items of a personal nature such as meals not mentioned in the itinerary
  • Local or long-distance phone calls
  • Alcohol
  • Optional tours not listed in the itinerary 
  • Optional 1:1 coaching sessions
  • Cancellation and medical insurance
  • Transportation outside of the one specified time from Malaga Airport or from other ports of entry are not included; in such instances, participants will be responsible for their own transportation costs to and from the retreat center.
  • Any pre- or post-retreat stays
  • Visas and vaccinations, as applicable
  • Gratuities, at your discretion

Names

A photocopy of your passport must be provided to Lisa Colleen Carter and Intralingo Travel at the time of booking. The name provided on your client booking forms must be identical to how they appear on the passport.

Penalties will apply to names that require spelling changes after tickets have been issued. Name substitutions are not permitted and will be treated as a full cancellation.

 

Entry Requirements

Documentation required for travel to an International destination for Canadian Citizens is as follows: A valid Canadian Passport is required. It is recommended that your passport be valid for at least 6 months after your scheduled return date.

In all cases, identification must match exactly with the full name on all travel documents. It is also essential that you examine your passport well before your travel date to ensure that it is not damaged in any way. Passports with even minor damage may be rejected resulting in your being denied boarding for flights and possible forfeiture of your holiday. 

Anyone travelling on a passport other than a Canadian Passport should advise Lisa Colleen Carter and Intralingo Travel to ensure proper Documentation.

Travel Arrangements

If you would like to book your international travel, any pre- or post-retreat stays, and/or travel insurance with Lisa Colleen Carter and Intralingo Travel, we would be pleased to assist and waive our standard CAD $150 per person booking fee.

If you are not booking your international travel with Lisa Colleen Carter and Intralingo Travel, we will require full details of your arrival and departure information 21 days prior to the retreat so we can coordinate the airport<->retreat transportation time.

Insurance

Proof of full travel insurance is required to participate in this retreat. It is mandatory for all travellers to have cover for accident, illness, theft and loss of/damage to baggage, and trip cancellation. 

We will require all insurance policy details including name of insurer and policy number by no later than September 4, 2026 at 5:00 pm Eastern Standard Time.

An all-inclusive travel insurance plan is recommended. Lisa Colleen Carter and Intralingo Travel will quote coverage prior to processing the deposit payment for residents of Canada or the United States, which registered writers can opt to purchase.

Special Requirements

We will require information on any special dietary requirements or food allergies participants may have upon registration.

We also require information on any medical conditions, allergies, mobility problems or other health issues participants may have upon registration.

Suitability

This retreat welcomes neurodivergent (ADHD) writers. By registering, you acknowledge that you have reviewed the itinerary and workshop style and find it suitable for your needs. 

Additional Excursion

There may be an opportunity for one additional and optional excursion during the Retreat week. Participants will be advised of the option and the cost in due course. Payment will be required in advance and will be non-refundable.
