Viking Vesta has departed Los Angeles and is heading southwest across the open North Pacific toward the Hawaiian Islands. These first sea days are a gentle transition from land life to ocean rhythm — the coastline has faded and nothing but deep blue surrounds the ship in every direction.
What to expect on deck: Expect light breezes and comfortable temperatures. Early mornings are crisp and perfect for a walk on the top deck; afternoons warm up nicely for poolside lounging. Occasional swells are normal for the open Pacific — the ship is stabilized, but it's a good idea to find your sea legs in these first days.
